Cons Review
Do NOT buy this game! . We bought this game for our daughter because she enjoys science. When we unwrapped it however we saw that there were definite problems with the game. The "operating table" was a very flimsy plastic, but that would have been okay if we just used it gently. The problem came about when we attempted to play the game. The "guts" don't fit into the body without a LOT of setting, re-setting, re-re-setting, etc... they just don't fit where they're supposed to. This game just served to be extremely frustrating for all of us and our daughter didn't even want to finish the first game. This game is not appropriate for children (or adults for that matter) and we would strongly advise anyone thinking of purchasing it to save themselves the time, money, and frustration! The only fun part of the game was the true or false questions that we answered without bothering with the "guts".
Informative . I bought this game for my 8 year old who has expressed that she wants to be a doctor. It's fun, but challenging, as it asks tough questions about your body that most younger kids wouldn't know. Some of the questions are not as hard. It is VERY informative, however, and educational in what you learn and talk about while you play. I'm glad we bought it for her!
Spill Your Guts Out provides great opportunity for younger students . There is a lot that can be learned in the study of Human Anatomy and when teaching younger children the task can seem daunting. Spill Your Guts Out is a great addition to any other teaching resource, making a great supplement to reinforce concepts of functions and locations of parts. I would not recommend this as a primary teaching tool, but as a supplement.
