Leap Frog Counting Pal in USA - This plastic caterpillar pull-toy is designed to help toddlers and preschoolers recognize colors and numbers while learning how to count from 1 to 10. Counting Pal has 10 sneaker-clad feet, each with a color-coded number. In number mode, she'll call out the appropriate number each time a sneaker is pressed. Confusing.. . This toy is a great concept and a great learning tool when it is flat on the ground. But, when my child starts walking and playing with it, it starts giving out wrong information. It says whatever number or color that happens to be pushed. Unfortunately, when the to is being played with the touch sensitive feet often go off inaccurately. What needs to be done is, put the corresponding buttons up high enough so if the toy is bouncing around during play, only the numbers or colors being touched by the child sound off. Also I think that the numbers should be made to light up during the song so when "Pal" is singing, the number that it counts lights up so the child can see what it is referring to in the song.

Unsafe poorly designed . My daughter received this toy as a gift for her first birthday. And after a few months it wound up on the high shelf reserved for toys she doesn't like. Well, okay, she likes the song and the Alphabug's friendly voice. She also likes how the antenna would light up and flash during the song.The main reason I put it away is that it's remarkably hard to manuever for a pull toy, especially for little children who are unsteady on their feet. My daughter kept falling over on it, and the hard plastic legs would bruise her. I took the toy back off the shelf after a few months when her walking skills improved, but she still couldn't pull it down the hall without it constantly falling over. Now that she's 2 1/2, she takes it out of the toy chest now and again and enjoys hearing the song. She likes to sing along to it. But you're supposed to be able to push on each of the legs to hear the letter sounds, and even with her improved motor skills she has a hard time pushing them. Overall, it's an excellent idea for a toy, but it needs some serious re-designing. I wrote a complaint letter to LeapFrog about this toy. And whenever I see someone in a store who appears to be considering purchasing it, I always tell them it's not a good choice.

Leapfrog does it again! . This company makes the most educational and fun toys! This guy is no different and entertains my little "engineer" for quite some time. Definitely worth the investment.
A REALLY GREAT TOY . I BOUGHT THIS TOY FOR MY SON BEFORE HE TURNED ONE YEAR OLD AND WAS ABSOLUTELY PLEASED WITH IT. HE WAS COUNTING TO TEN WITHIN A FEW WEEKS. HE LOVED THE SONG AND TOOK HIS NEW FRIEND EVERYWHERE HE WENT. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOY TO PARENTS THAT WANT TO GET A JUMPSTART ON THEIR CHILD'S LEARNING.
Fun fun fun!!! . This toy makes my 16 month old laugh and laugh and he loves the songs. Makes learning numbers fun. The noise factor is easily resolved by putting some scotch tape over the speaker area and makes it much more bearable. Nothing but good things to say so far!!
Looks like a cool toy to me . My daughter received this for her 1st birthday. Basically she is scared by it which is unusual, she plays with all toys and is not a shy girl. When I turn it on and try to play she cries. I even had to hide it, she does not like the looks of it I guess.All the other reviews I've read are great, maybe it's just us.
A play friend for baby . My daughter recieved this toy for Christmas and couldn't love it more. She pulls the toy behind her and treats it like she would a stuffed animal. We have sinced named her new play-time pal and listen to its adorable song together. This toy has proven very durable and a complete success.

This toy is so loud . this toy is good for the kids but it is loud as hell. This toy will keep you up all night. I hate it but the baby likes it. Don't do it to yourself.
cute but noisy . I bought this for my son when he was 13 months old and he really enjoys pulling it around. He loves the counting song, although my husband and I find it tremendously annoying. It's worth the annoyance though b/c my son has a lot of fun with it!
