Not great optics . I bought these binoculars for my 3-year-old daughter. I liked the fact that they were designed for small people, that they are adjustable and can be focused. I was a bit disappointed when we got them by how flimsy they are. They are so easy to adjust that they don't stay adjusted: You have to hold them with both hands to maintain a proper interpupillary distance. The focus, on the other hand, is not very easy to adjust. The field of view is tiny, and the optics are so bad that there are rainbows around everything (not so great for looking at stars and planets). My daughter enjoyed playing with them, but she mostly looked at everything backwards. I guess I'll wait until she's a bit bigger and get her a pair of real binoculars.

Cheap . I was looking for something that was more realistic looking. I returned these. Not sure how durable they are but they felt extremely cheap.
It's an OK product . My grandson liked the binocs. I was disappointed in the strength. It's OK. It is kid tough and a good value

I would not recommend these binoculars. Put a little more money and get a regular size set of binoculars. The vest and the light is the only thing useable in the Explorer kit for kids.

not worth the price . i could have bought a better set of binoculars for my kid for 3 dollars more. these things are ridiculous. they have a real bad "fish eye" lens effect. my daughter dropped them on the patio and they broke in half.

Good little set of binocs . I bought this set for my son to create his "Dino Dan" costume. He is going to love it. I paired with with the Safari Vest, and they fit perfectly in the pouch on the vest. They're a toy, so you can't expect superior focus or anything, but they're really pretty good binocs for the price. I would absolutely recommend them for your little adventurer.
Needs adjustment initially . These binoculars just needed some initial adjustment and now they work well. They're good for a toy for my 4-year-old. I'm happy with the visual quality.
Cons Review
Great! . Bought this in conjunction with other Backyard safari items. Son loves it in the winter months and comes home "collecting" bugs. The binoculars are decent to let him out and play.
binocculars . Great for the 4 year old along with a big, kids magnifying glass and his backyard safari vest he's ready for a great adventure. He LOVES it! Lots of fun viewing. I should have gotten one for the 6 year old too.
