Orion 203mm f/4.9 Reflector Tube with Crayford-Style Focuser - Responding to your requests, we are pleased to offer this reflector optical tube assembly (OTA) for folks who already have an equatorial mount. This optical tube assembly includes parabolic mirror optics, center marked for easy collimation. It has an upgraded 2" Crayford-style focuser (with 1.25" eyepiece adapter), quick-collimation cap, dust cap, and a dovetail base that accommodates any Orion finder scope. Pre-tapped holes in the rear cell allow attachment of an Orion Cooling Accelerator Fan (sold separately). Aperture: 203mm. Focal length: 1000mm (f/4.9). 2" collimatable Crayford-style focuser. Recommended for visual use or astrophotography. Includes camera adapter. Weighs 16.5 lbs. Tube rings, tube ring mounting plate, finder scope, and eyepieces sold separately.

Great scope very versitle . I have been a fan of Orion's scopes for a long time. When these Chinese made scopes come off the production line, they are either made very well, or they are a lemon. Thankfully Orion has a nice return policy. This is my second svp 8. The first one was a defect. I find the Orion design of better quality than the sky watcher 8 and the Celestron c8n, with adjustment knobs on the primary instead of screws. There is also a place for mounting a cooling fan in back as well. The Orion's mirror is also slightly larger at 203 mm vs the Celestron / sky watcher 's 200 mm. 29 % secondary obstruction buries the views from any sct telescope! I've gone back to Newtonian design from sct's for their superior views.
