Not what I was expecting . I bought this with the intentions of buying six more to use in a basic robotics class. I wanted to put it together myself first. It is MUCH smaller than I thought it would be. I guess you get what you pay for.The movements can (and will) be used to demonstrate physics - moments, leverage, ratio, etc. but overall the arm is very limited. I will not be buying more of these. Some of the parts are very small and it's tedious to put together. I'm a mechanical engineer and it took me just under 3 hours - that's ok but I think kids would be disappointed (as I was) to spend that much time on something so limited in movement. There are NO spare parts so if you drop one of the little nuts then you're just stuck. (maybe you could call the manufacturer and order a new one if you wanted to wait that long).Overall, cute, teaches patience, teaches movements and other physics, but quite disappointing.

Fun for a little bit . I got my robot arm about 4 months ago. For the past 3 months it has just been sitting in the shed. I like making things that move and have motors and when i am testing a 120 volt motor i use the arm to actually make the connction because i made the claw completly eletrical proof. other then that it is not fun. It is to heavy to put on a remote control car and even then its not even remote control. There are better robot kits then this out there i recommend you dont waste your money on this one
