fantastic . I purchased the uppercase set and had to purchase the lowercase magnetic letters too. This set is wonderful and colorful. They are bigger with more magnetics that really stick well to the fridge. My two year loves to move the letters around and knows his alphabet based on these letters. I am very happy with the purchase.

exposed magnets . It wasn't clear to me from the pictures and the other reviews but these letters do have exposed small magnets in the back. So definitely a chocking hazard. The Leap Frog letters are covered so that's an alternative.

Precursor to Reading . We bought 2 sets of lower case and one set of upper case letters and love them. We painted a wall with chalkboard paint and added the magnet additive so the letters would stick to the wall. It's been great fun! My 5-year-old uses the letters to practice words she's learning to read at school and to make new words and "write" whole sentences. Then we "write" sentences for her to read -- instructions for tasks she's to perform, clues to surprises etc. Even my 18-mos-old twin sons are getting into the act.

Good product . These letters are large, bright and durable. The only negative is that I did not receive 30 numbers as was described. Instead I received extra stars and operation signs which I don't need.
Great for little hands! . These letters are durable, brightly colored and safe in those little hands. They provide long periods of play and interaction, even in a 12 month old.
Work great on fridge . I got these letters to use on a wall in my daughter's bedroom that I painted with magnetic paint. Sadly, they didn't work there -- they were too heavy (or the magnets weren't strong enough, take your pick). They work great on the refrigerator, though. She loves to arrange them and they stick well. They haven't broken even though she has thrown them across the kitchen floor many times.
Great assortment . I purchased these for my grandaughter who is constantly pulling my magnets off my refrigerator. She is only 15 months old but we have been having alot of fun with these, even though she doesn't even know they are letters yet. They are very durable and a great large size, and have prompted the entire family to spell out messages. Happy with this purchase.
More Fun For Silly Adults . We keep these scattered on our fridge, so on that note, they don't scratch the surface. We got them for our baby, but she's more interested in gnawing on them than actually learning what they are. It's a fun distraction for her when she's playing in the kitchen. Just watch out for some of the smaller letters - they could be choking hazzards.

jumbo magnet letters . These jumbo letters are great for little hands. Easy to manipulate and larger than the version you are used to. My sister-in-law is a nurse and says they pull the small letters out of kids all the time, which scared me, so I decided to upgrade and buy these jumbo sized letters. My daughter loves playing with them on the fridge!
Perfect size for small hands . If you are looking for a nice letter set for your toddler or preschooler, these are the perfect size for small hands. I actually did not realize that these would be a larger size than the standard alphabet magnets you typically see in stores but I was very pleased when I received them. They are easy to grasp and manipulate. Chunky but not too large. Don't be mistaken though. These letters will be great for elementary aged children, too! I bought them for my 7 year old to practice her spelling words on a magnet board.
