BB400 Solderless Plug-in BreadBoard, 400 tie-points, 4 power rails, 3.3 x 2.1 x 0.3in (84 x 54 x 9mm) Reviews - BreadBoard-400 is a solderless (plug-in) breadboard with 400 connection tie-points (i.e. 400 wire insertion holes). It has 4 power rails.Solderless breadboards are great for building and testing new circuits because parts can be easily inserted and removed. They are completely re-usable. The BB400 has a 300 tie-point IC-circuit area plus four 25 tie-point power rails. The housing is made of white ABS plastic, with a printed legend giving numbers and letters for columns and rows. The internal contacts are phosphor bronze with a plated nickel finish.A peelable adhesive tape backing is provided for attaching it to a surface.BPS BreadBoards are Lead-Free and RoHS Compliant. Finished projects can be moved to a SB400 Solderable PC BreadBoard to make them permanent.

Details Not Mentioned . Everyone else has mentioned the key points. It's a BreadBoard. The last line of the right up does mention "Peelable adhesive tape backing provided for attaching to a surface."

Here is what isn't mentioned. This thing is designed to be snapped together. You can take the power rails off of one side and add them to the other or remove them all together. If you buy more than one of these you can snap them together to make a much larger BreadBoard.

Last point, there is a companion SB400, that is a single sided PC board that has the exact same layout as the BB400, so once you have a working design, you can transfer it right over to a PCB to solder finalize.

All in all I'm impressed with the thought that was put into this simple product.
BB400 Solderless Plug-in BreadBoard, 400 tie-points, 4 power rails, 3.3 x 2.1 x 0.3in (84 x 54 x 9mm) Reviews
Good little bread board . Bought a couple to create modular systems for the design of a device I have been working on for about a year. The connections all seemed to be snug and I had no issues with loose or ill conected components. Using the modular design concept allowed me to substitute different a module and immediately evaluate the overall changes in the device and also allowed me to return to a previous set up with a minimum amount of fuss. I would buy several if you are working with digital or analog systems just for the convenience alone.

Don't think about it just buy it now. . First of all, I would like to start by saying that this is my first breadboard purchase. I'm just getting into electronics as a hobby, and I needed something to start with. Wow, was I blown away! This breadboard is incredible. It does pretty much everything that I would require a breadboard to do, including conducting electricity and holding components in place. It really shines in those two respects. If you want something that not only conducts electricity, but also holds the components in place, YOU NEED THIS BREADBOARD!I know what you're thinking right now. "Well, I want to buy it.. and I'd really like to have a breadboard.. but I don't know if I should spend my money on this or a McDonald's value meal." Wonder no more, you have to buy this thing. You don't need to eat, but you do need to build epic electrical circuits and get your prototyping game up in preparation for a robot invasion. Ditch McDonald's and get an awesome breadboard (like this one (preferably this one)).I was so stoked when I received this package in the mail. I immediately took it inside and opened the box. I was greeted with a piece of paper taped to what looked like a bag that marijuana would be kept in. But there was no marijuana, as the breadboard inside was simply too awesome to be roommates with any controlled substance. So I removed the breadboard and slapped it up on the ole' desk. "Finally," I thought, "it is here!" Without thinking twice, I whipped out the Fluke multimeter and started to test the tie points. "TROLLED LOL," is the response I was greeted with, as I have no proper breadboard leads for my multimeter. Well played, you sly device. My only complaint is that the package didn't include the wallet full of cash to buy more breadboards. I'm really sure that was in the description. Oh gee, Amazon, false advertise much?On second thought, I may have read the wallet thing in a Lost & Found ad on craigslist. You win this round, Amazon.
Great little breadboard . This is a great little breadboard. Plenty of room for small projects, yet compact enough to be mountable without getting in the way. The plastic seems to be of high quality, and the adhesive really sticks! I've typically used a nice piece of hardwood as a base for different projects, and this breadboard fits great among the other components (battery holders, lasers, mechanical arms, etc...).

Keep in mind you can remove both power rails, and also join multiple boards together. A handy feature.

I've already used three, and I'm back for more!
Great little breadboard for the money . This is an excellent little breadboard. One thing not mentioned in the details is the power rails can snap off and you can also snap multiple BB400s together to make a bigger breadboard. The back also has a double-sided sticky pad attached so you could adhere it to a flat surface. You can also get a corresponding product, the SB400 which is a solderable board that matches the BB400. Once you have your project tested and working on the breadboard, you can move it over to the solder board and make it permanent.I've already picked up a few more so I can keep multiple circuit ideas going at once, or combine them to mockup bigger circuits.
Cheap works . Very cheap, works well. Has a sticky back if you want to attach it to a workbench or application. The power rails are a nice bonus and cuts down on wiring.
First Breadboard I've Owned . I bought this breadboard along with an Arduino Uno starter kit. The Arduino kit comes with a very small breadboard. This breadboard is a much more comfortable and convenient size for experimenting with the Arduino.
Good solid product for a great price. . Been using mine for about 8 months. It's defect free and has been functioning perfectly. I like the build quality of this product, especially considering it's real low price. It's great for small quick projects, and when I need to use one off-site. For home use I think a larger board might be more convenient to use; it gets a little crowded quick when the projects become more complex.
Works as intended . If you need a small plug0in board, this one works as described. If I needed another small board, I would order another.

Cons Review
Good standard breadboard . This is a good breadboard. My only problem:
I purchased this BB400 and the larger BB830 together. I assumed they would fit together with their tongue and groove system. This is incorrect.
The BB400 has smaller joints than the BB830 (which makes sense, now). It was my fault for not taking a closer look at the pictures.
