Very novel not necessarily practical . If you're expecting to make world-class speakers out of your storm door, this is not going to do it. On the other hand I have made quite passable speakers using things like a bathtub, windows, walls, computers and my favorite boxes. The sound is really impressive for such an ad-hoc application. If nothing else it's just darn fun and makes me the life of the geek party. Heck, with the right adapters from radio shack you could probably buy two and do stereo!

Clever design: Meant to be carried . This is an above-average portible speaker system. It's probably designed to be carried. What is not mentioned in the other reviews here is the utility of it's size and shape. It has the perfect balance: Not too small to be a weak speaker, but not too large to be too cumbersome. The flat design fits into my jacket pocket without sticking out like blocky speakers. The rounded corners and no protruding pieces means it is easy to carry and handle without hanging up, and less chance to break something off too I was surprised to see the specs: The frequency range is 300hz to 10,000 hz, which easily covers the most important range for entertainment, especially human voice. This is a step closer to woofers than your average portible speaker. I have yet to see how durable it is, but it looks durable. I haven't seen any complaints about it breaking, so I gave it a respectable 4 stars in durability.I like the black better than the white, but put a piece of yellow or orange tape on it or a bright sticker of your liking so it is easier to find when dark. And lastly You don't need to stick it to something uncommon like a bucket to hear sound. Setting it firmly on a table makes it work fine.

Great for the price . I saw these little speakers in Menards and thought they would be cool but I had a hard time spending $20 for one. When the went on sale I bought one and wow was I impressed. They work very well. These won't give you the same sound as a Bose system or anything like that but for portable devices this is so neat. It packs up real nicely and attaches to anything. This is definitively a great product.

Great until speaker came apart. . I won't lie. This is an AMAZING product! There is one thing you have to be aware of though. Be very careful when taking the speaker off of an object you will rip the speaker off after so many sticks.
Sticky pad comes off . Out of the box, I tested sticking the pad to different surfaces to see how the sound did. I stuck it to a chalkboard and the sticky pad stuck, coming apart from the speaker, when I pulled it off the chalkboard. Not sure how to fix it. I've used the ones with suction pads instead, which work better.
New Gadget . This is an awesome toy. Works best on a styrofoam bucket or ice chest. Great to keep in my vehicle for those times I am listening to my laptop.
Lousy sound . Bought this and it came quickly....hooked it up to my ipod and stuck the vibrating plate to several large surfaces including kitchen counter, shower glass, formica counter, etc etc....the volume is so quiet you can hardly hear it....if you turn up your ipod, etc., the little vibrating speaker distorts badly and you hear garbled staticky noise....i was really looking forward to getting this....terribly disappointed I threw $15-$20 away. :(
