Not the real thing . I remember back to when I was in 5th grade and the coolest thing we did was dissect a real owl pellet! So when I saw this product for sale I was ecstatic to be able to relive my childhood and at such a reasonable price. When I got it I was surprised to see that it guaranteed a whole skeleton and when I started to open the foil it was wrapped in, I realized why. The entire thing is fake! (which they disguise by calling it sanitary) It's essentially plastic (or possibly resin) "bones" wrapped in grey cotton balls with some "fur" (which I assume is also synthetic).
So all in all, if you are a germaphobe, this product is great for you, but if you want a real experience, look elsewhere.
