It did the job . Teaching kids about the brain is very difficult, I know because its even difficult to teach adults about the brain and I've been in the education field for a long time now. Kids love to manipulate and take apart this little brain. I would've like a toy with a different texture and size but the kids loved this little number, and when I put into song information about the brain and let them manipulate the parts and figure out how to put it back together they had so much fun. The kids and I enjoyed learning about the brain with this model.

Cool...but the instructions could have been alittle better . First out the box, it was smaller than what I thought, but cool nontheless.
But the instructions were so vague they just had pictures and nothing was labled or numbered..I put it together wrong the first time, so my husband took a look at it, and he got it..Overall I'm happy.

Not just a toy but Educational . This toy as it is classified was not purchased for that reason. It was given as a gift to be used in a Pre College Psychology class. It will be very useful in showing the parts of the brain and how each part associates itself with the function of the brain and the human body. It does not take elaborate examples to demonstrate and teach great things. It will be used with very good teaching skills of the instructor and will enhance the minds of those that learn the Psychology of the human. We rate it excellent.

brains . this is VERY small i was suprised to see hoe really small it was.I bought 2 for TV displays they looked like mini brains they should put a size on the description
Cons Review
Rip-off . The makers of this model should make it clear to the buyer just exactly how small this item is. When I received it, my brain felt even smaller than this one, which is barely the size of a large Granny Smith apple. Buyer beware.
Very small missing some parts . This is fun, but was very small. The first package we rec'd was missing a part. Received the replacement quickly, but the second package was missing a different part. As I recall, this wasn't super expensive, so perhaps that's why the quality wasn't so great.
Human Brain... On a stick! . Assembly is fairly easy. The pieces all lock together nice and tight. The base plate is cheap plastic and doesn't fit properly with the Brain Stem. The stem didn't fit properly into the base plate so the bottom of the stem broke when trying to attach it to the base plate.
Only for children with patience . I bought this for my 8 year old nephew. He is much too impatient to put this together, but I'm sure other 8-year-old's would be fine. Not recommended for kids with short attention span OR poor fine motor skills (he has Asperger's, so it was NOT a good choice for him!)
Hard to Assemble--was for use in a Dr. Office . Purchased for use as a teaching/educational tool in my wife's (she is an Internal Medicine Physician) clinical office. We also bought a few other items, none of which we had issues with. This particular item was difficult to assemble: pegs didn't fit well, just generally hard to put together. As my Dr. wife put it "...it fits beter without the sinus venosus..." and "...if anyone takes this apart I'm going to scream!...". Kind of defeats the point of a patient educational tool if you're scared to disassemble because its sooooo hard to reassemble!
Interesting brain. . I got this brain for two purposes. As a way to explore the relational aspects of the brain, in 3D, for my work as a therapist, and as a teaching model. The first time I put it together with my grandson. The parts did not go together or stay together easily. We both found it interesting, but it is not really a good toy since it falls apart. It was, for me, a good model. A good way to study the brain. Just wish it was better made.
