GeoSafari Talking Globe . After determining that our family needed to purchase a globe, we decided on the GeoSafari Talking Globe because in addition to having a nice globe, you also have a fun and educational electronic game that can run on either batteries or an AC adapter (neither are included). The globe itself is a nice quality and made by the George F. Cram Co. The game is easy to play with one to four players. The only negative point that I see, is its potential for breakage due to its plastic meridian. However, with careful usage, this should not be an issue. We have, in years past, also purchased the GeoSafari Laptop and the GeoSafari Talking Globe Traveler, and they are still going strong (with the occasional need for fresh batteries).

slightly dissapointed . I am quite disappointed with this product because it doesn't do what I expected. I brought this for my seven year old son because he loves to learn about different places. I thought the globe would help him learn by pointing to a place and telling him about it. Instead, it just plays a game asking questions. Yes, he can learn by this type of interaction, but that is not what I wanted from this product. I thought I had search the internet enough and had found what I wanted for him, I didn't. In my opionion, it would be a great institutional learning aide for a classroom environment. Perhaps for an older child this would be a more useful learning product.

It will be nicer when my daughter gets older . My daughter has been asking a lot of questions that are harder to answer without visuals so that's why we orderd this globe. The globe itself is pretty nice and will serve the purpose I was hoping for but I thought the talking globe would be more fun for her. Unless I am mistaken, it is only a quiz game and the questions are pretty tough. They are not even questions that the answers can be found on the globe but I guess it's enough for food for thought. Hear the question and if you don't know the answer, do the research- maybe it will make her more curious!

The worst-designed most frustrating $75- toy ever invented... . This globe is absolutely horrible to try to assemble. You must own or buy an almost microscopic Phillips-head screwdriver just to install batteries. Even then, the teeny-tiny screw gets stripped, no matter how gently you engage it. Once the batteries are installed, it takes at least 2 people to attach the globe to the base, unless you want to break the ultra-thin, plastic arc holding the globe. What a waste of $75-. Definitely don't buy this, unless you're willing to take a 50-50 chance of having to return it.
Cons Review
Geosafari Talking Globe . My grandson wanted this for Christmas in 2010, he was 7. Now that he is 8 he is much more interested in the globe. He and his friends have fun with it and the benefit is they are learning while having that fun.
