Simple elegant believable . I looked into the levitating globes and chose this instead. It doesn't levitate, but its slow rotation, without batteries, is soothing and fascinating. It just keeps spinning with no intervention...just like the real Earth! It is too small to use as a reference globe, but it is a fine size for a desk ornament. It takes some thinking to figure out how it could possibly work, thus it makes a good conversation piece.
I liked mine so much that I ordered one as a Christmas gift for a tech-savvy friend. He appreciated his as much as I did mine.

Quality could be better . I was amazed when I first saw one of these a year ago. The clear outer shell was invisible making it look like it was floating in air. I bought one for a gift and I can plainly see the seam between the two halves of the outer shell. If I line the seam up with the equator it is less noticeable. Without the seam this would definitely get five stars.

Great gift for someone who loves globes and earth . This was a present to our family from some girls that stayed at our house for a week. I love love love it. Our sits by the window and smoothly rotates from the light. I have never had it next to a regular house light before but outdoor lighting it is beautiful. I love how the blue pops from the ocean color. I am buying one for a friend too.
