Good size! . This is a great money jar. It is very large, and sturdy enough to withstand some tumbles to the ground. We aren't treating this as a toy, but as a saving jar. The one thing I'd change about this, or add, is to have a way to tweak the amount in the jar if you take out a quarter or a dime (etc.). Otherwise, it appears to be working just fine. It recognizes the types of coins, and flashes briefly that amount before totalling it with the rest of the coins in the jar. This is definitely better than the average "piggy bank".

Having fun counting money! . This is a fun way count all that extra change and save for something special or just a nice dinner out!
I would recommend though that you push the coins completely through because if you don't they pop back up and still count the coin and adds to your balance in the jug.

Pretty good . I had a pretty large amount of coins to add the first time, $168 worth, and after several coins, the spring seemed to get a little "tired". I had to wait quite some time before I could add the next coin, but after I got all of that over with, everytime I've added just a few dollars worth I haven't had that problem at all. Also, that initial amount was mostly pennies, and it filled it almost to the top. When I took it to my bank to cash it in, it was entirely accurate to what the amount said it was on the counter. Overall, I would completely recommend this product to anyone else.

Didn't Work! . I purchased this money jug after looking at the video which showed it working every time. When I got mine, I tried SEVERAL coins and none registered correctly. I may have just had a lemon but I returned it for a refund rather than try another jug. Very disappointed!
Automatic Piggy Bank . Here is an easy way to keep track of how much change you have before going to cash it in. It does get heavy when halfway filled. The handle needs to be larger so be sure to hold it underneath also. Batteries last a LONG time in this, over a year, over two maybe.
Great bank . I got three of these banks, one for each of my kids. They enjoy putting coins into the counter slot and watching the running total get larger. For paper money, they just pull the lid off and place the bills inside. The counter won't keep track of the bills, only the coins, which isn't a big deal for us.I'd definately purchase again.
Not just a toy... . My 15 year old nephew started a "coin jar" to save money. I thought that he might like this counting jar for Christmas since it would keep a total of the money. He loves it! All I ever hear is "Do you have any change?" This is more than a "toy". It really helps you save money. It's almost a contest to see if you can get to the next dollar. I think since you can see the dollar amount that you already have saved ~ you are not tempted to take money out....in fact it is incentive to put more money in the jar. The jar is large, seems very durable and has not made any mistakes counting the money so far. This seems like a winner.
Bought it for nephew but to much fun kept it for myself. . I love this and works great! I bought it for nephew but loved it so much I kept it for me and had to order another one for my nephew.
Good Idea Implementation Fails . While the jug holds a large quantity of coins the money counter, which this product is named for, looses count once the batteries die. That's fine if you only want a money jug... but if part of the fun is for a child (or even adult like me) to know how much money inside then this product will disappoint. I believe a product should reliably do as it promises, especially if I spend my money on it. For this reason alone I give the product a very low score, otherwise it would have gotten high marks. As an FYI, the batteries died sometime between 9 and 15 months after start up.
