Budding geologists will love it . I couldn't imagine most kids getting all that excited about a box of rocks, but my 8-year-old daughter is totally fascinated by geology and she just about lost her mind when she opened these on Christmas morning.I'm no geologist, but the samples seemed pretty high quality, sure a lot of them just look like driveway gravel at first, but on closer inspection, there's quite a variety and they're a great reference to compare to other rocks you may find in nature. (I'm saying "rocks" but also fossils and minerals, of course)The booklets are pretty light on info and I wish the stickers were color-coded to the boxes and, well, stickier, you'll probably need to be careful about not mixing the samples up, especially between boxes, but even my daughter is like "DUH, dad, that one's IGNEOUS, it goes in here," so what do I know, ha.I'd recommend a geology book or two and a cheap jeweler's loupe to really get the most out of these.

where is the rest of the order? . I ordered the collection of rocks, minerals and fossils. I received one box. Emailed Best Service Stores. They did respond the first time, asked that I ship the one box back and then they would send out new order. Emailed Amazon, they could not find the order. I ordered it for a birthday present. I asked Best Service Stores if they could send out the rest. Have not heard back from them. Total rip off!
