Review of CSI Kit . Overall, we are happy with the product as it contains everything as shown in the picture and the fact that it came with an actual "case" to solve, really added value to the kit. I do want to mention, however, that we thought the carrying case would be more durable - made of metal, but it's plastic and has to handled with care. That would be my only complaint ... or suggestion for improvement.

Currently a lot cheaper at Toys 'R' Us. Great kit that is a lot of fun. . We bought this in Toys 'R' Us today for $29, which is supposedly their regular price.
It is a great kit, that pretty much performs as advertised. I agree with the other reviewer that the box is kind of flimsy, but for $29, I didn't feel that was a big issue. There is a lot to do with this, and is appropriate for both one child, or kids to do as a group. You won't be disappointed.

Overpriced on Amazon . Just bought one at ToysRus for $26. Price increased on Amazon from $49.99 to $52.95 in 6 hours. Looks like a cool toy but definitely not worth that much. FYI- The case is just thin cardboard.

The Box . I love this product and it works very well. Great for anyone who has never done anything like it.

Poor Quality for the Price . My son was as disappointed as we were with this product. The invisible ink was missing, the black ink is nowhere close to finger print ink and very difficult to remove. The microscope lens is blurry...with and without the light. Overall- it's cheap plastic and not worth anywhere near $60. We are attempting to return this item; however to date (after approximately 9 days, the seller is not cooperating as far as allowing us to return it).
Liz Phillips - Situation Card? . My children got this toy for Christmas of 2010, and they really enjoyed playing with it, we had a lot of fun together playing with all that was included. My problem came when my wife found a love letter under the bed in our guest room, a love letter from Liz Phillips. I have been accused of an affair with Liz but I have no idea who she is. I'm assuming it came from this game. She mentioned a rose sketched at the bottom of the note. Have any of you seen this love letter in this kit? Please post a picture if possible. Thank you very much.
CSI Field Kit is cool but not everything you hope for. . The CSI Field Kit is a fun toy, but unless your child knows how to use it, it is frustrating. There is nothing that shows you how to use all the items in the box. Eventually, you end up with a lot of plastic toys that don't do anything, plastic gloves and police tape that get torn, etc. I also purchased other CSI toys-walkie talkies (don't work that well), a listening device, and a kit containing actual cases. That kit is somewhat useful, but you don't get to use all the cool CSI stuff the way the child expects.
not happy . I recently purchased this CSI kit for my daughter for Christmas and was disappointed. The products in the kit are very small, barely enough to do any experiments or tasks and the "case" it came in is made of thin, flimsy cardboard. The pictures and descriptions do not match the poor quality of the kit. In addition to buying a rather expensive kit, I now have to buy her a real case to keep it in because the cheap box broke as soon as she opened it. Not happy!
CSI FIELD KIT . I bought this for my grand daughter for her birthday, from the picture I was under the impression it was a real case not a cardboard case.. For the most part it was everything it was suppose to be.. She liked it but for the money I was hoping for a little better product.
Cons Review
Best Toy EVER !!!!!!!! . The Junior Kit is great and my kids love it, but the best part is the kit really works. Dusted around the broken glass from a car break in my home driveway. Found some prints and gave them to the local cops. Two punks were caught days later.
