This exciting dig kit includes 2 fascinating Egyptian treasures dug out of a 4.5" x 8" gypsum sand plaster block with a chisel and a brush. Use the digging tools to gently scrape away the plaster in order to reveal the treasures. Each set contains two "assorted" Egyptian discoveries. Not so cheap thrill... . Basically you receive a block of sandstone that comes with one excavation tool (a stick) and a brush. My kids chopped at this block for about a 1/2 hour - 45 minutes to get at all the hidden treasures which was 1 sarcophagus and 4 canopic jars. Then they had fun pulverizing the rest of the brick into pieces to make sure there wasn't anything else. After wards, my daughter carried her treasures around with her for a day or two and more recently has quite forgotten about them. I recommend Lift The Lid On Mummies for longer lasting and educational value - it seemed to be the better deal of the two I bought.

Interesting... . My 10 year old son really enjoyed this product. I must admit...the little piece of wood they give you makes breaking the "brick" tough but it was fun to watch my son's face when he finally hit on a part of the objects inside. He had fun dusting off the objects as he worked to free them.
