great fun for all ages! . Bought this item for my 10 1/2 year-old daughter and she was excited to begin! Fairly easy to do on her own, but the dome itself is on the large side so be sure you have the room for growing.

wish i knew . Wish I knew it would take 2 to 3 months for seeds to sprout, before you can even plant them! Can't imagine my 6 yr old staying interested long enough to even get to the plant stage. Should just return it.

Takes a long time to get any results . I got this for my girls for Christmas and we plated all the seeds right away. They had fun planting the seeds and learning about the plants that will hopefully grow eventually. Two months later, there are only tiny sprouts in there so it's mostly just taking up space by the window. However, it does seem durable and hopefully we'll see results some time soon!
