Better than a top . Nicely crafted metal gyroscope. It is fun to play with and the spinning just seems to go on forever. To me, it is better than a top. Good fun and low price too.

Best Toy Ever! . This toy has been entertaining for decades and it still holds fascination for anyone and everyone. This toy is based on the science that is used in today's airplanes and it is inspiring. The real question is how long can you keep your gyroscope going and what can you balance it on next?

Toy for Science Lovers . Being nearly 30 years old, buying this toy was the best decision I ever made... well, when it comes to toys that is. It brought me back to my childhood and still never ceases to amaze me. I had so much fun with it, I bought two!
Shoddy copy of original toy! . I LOVED the gyroscope given to me in the 1950's - sturdy, hypnotic, hours and hours of fascinating play. I bought the Tedco version recently to share with my grandchildren: Metal surfaces rough to the touch, lightweight compared to original product of my childhood, metal frame BROKE the first day of simple use! Disappointing to say the least! I am searching the web for vintage gyroscopes - I highly recommend that you not waste your money on this product!
parts didn't fit together . I remember buying one of these for my kids in the 70s. It was larger and sturdier than this one I got for my grands. Worse, this wouldn't even go together. The inner gyro axis was manufactured too short to reach the intended insets in the outer frame.
fun but cheap . i hadn't planned on buy this but amazon had a deal if you got this with another toy. works great until it falls on the table or floor then the shape will deform and will no longer be balanced.
Cons Review
Inexpensive Toy . The toy arrived on time. It certainly is not the toy I remember when I was 8 or 9 but then again nothing is much like it used to be. The overall quality of the toy is very poor; thank you China. It starts to wobble after 10 or so seconds then falls, I know this isn't going to last to long. Had I been able to see it in a store I would not have purchased it.
Great Gyro . I always had some type of gyroscope around when I was growing up and I always preferred the metal ones. This Chandler was always a personal favorite of mine and I was very happy to come across it recently. Reminded me how much fun gyroscopes are for kids or adults!
