Good Looking Floor Standing Globe . The stand for this globe is very sturdy (and heavy) so if you plan on moving it around often then this probably isn't for you. But I love the look of this globe and stand over the other floor modes. Also there is quite a size difference between the 12 inch and 16inch. It is large, but so much easier to read and see the countries. I think the price was very fair in comparison to other models, but I think this may be a discontinued product because replogle does not have this one listed with their current globes. This also arrived extremely fast. Hubby loves his anniversary gift and just sits and looks at it!

Great looking Globe . I am very pleased with this globe. It is pretty heavy and seems very sturdy and stable. It is big enough to see a lot of detail. There is a huge difference over the 12 inch globe it replaced and I am glad I got it. I use it a lot when reading historical novels. Sometimes I sit and stare at it.
It was well packed and was almost a struggle to get through all of the packing material.
The Landen stand doesn't appear on the Replogle web site anymore although this antique ocean 16 inch globe is available with other stands. Doing a quick web search I do see it on other globe web sites though - so stock is available as of June 2011.
