Good Quality . This globe is well made with a wood stand and metal meridian. Much better than the plastic ones that sell for 13.00 less. It has raised terrain areas and my kids love it.

The globe we purchased... . had a bit of an issue. The lines of latitude were not lined up correctly. It's noticeable, but we kept the globe. We watched how globes were made on YouTube to get a better understanding of the process. As for the detail of geography we found it to be exactly what we wanted. The globe sits on a nice wood stand and seems of solid construction.

Love This Globe . This is a great globe. No, it is not a fancy or expensive one -- in fact, it's probably pretty ordinary -- but it looks nice & is easy to read. Also, I like the realistic raised terrain (mountains). For some of the really small countries, I have to get a magnifying glass (but I'm 68), but most of the printing is readable. The stand is made of wood, but it's not heavy -- nor is it so lightweight that it blows over! For the money, I think it's fine. Someday I might be able to afford one of those huge metal ones in a huge floor stand, but for the time being, this one will do just fine. (Just want to mention that we used it today, looking up some countries mentioned on the news. It's just my husband & I, but we are interested in looking up locations when we're not familiar with them.)
Beautiful addition to home . We have wanted a globe for many years and after reading reviews I chose this one. It's not only a beautiful addition to our home but very informative, when something comes on the news we can pick it up and see where the area is located. Computers are great but sometimes having something hands on is so much better.
Worth the Money . My 82 year old mother watches the NEWS and when they talk about different countries, now she can look on the globe and know where they are talking about. It is a nice size, pretty colors. light weight, letters large enough to read. It is well worth the money.
Biscay Globe Review . This globe is well made, high-quality finishes. I really like the surface which depicts the terrain as accurately as possible. Lot's of info on it. It makes a great gift - fun, educational and looks expensive.

World Globes . I bought 2 of them for my grandsons for Christmas. They liked them a lot. I just think that all globes are too expensive, considering they are made of cardboard.
Learning about the world . My six yr old grandson surprised me by asking for a globe for Christmas. After reviewing several, I chose the Replogle Biscay 12" Blue Globe. He was thrilled with it and we had fun looking for places he knew about. It is easy to read and is very sturdily constructed. I believe he will use and enjoy it throughout his school days.
