Wants to go to bed!!!! . This was a Christmas present for my Son. My son is 5 years old. He was so interested!! "What is that one's name??" he would say. I read him all the material that came with it. He loved it. The next day he said, "Saturn has rings,right???" It was just as fun for me. I might have just learned something myself.

Pleased with no complaints . We ordered this product for the school science fair.
It served every purpose and is a neat little toy.
If I had to find a negative, it would be a couple
of the 'planets' were not in proportion. But for
grade school, kids arent that detailed so it was
unimportant.

Justo k . the quality of this product is just fine, not great. The size and color of planets are not upto scale. Also, the Sun could have been better constructed as a glowing object.

Solar System that Glows . It was small as other's have commented but it came with a sun. The planets are in proportion as far as I am concerned. The Earth confused my four year old because it was not green and blue but white and blue (supposedly is as it would look from a space shuttle in space). We name them every night and they do glow for a while. I hung with tacs and seem to be okay. The fishing type string was sufficient to hang them albeit annoying to work with.
Does not glow at all . Very disappointed in the toy. really tired of toys that dont work like they are supposed to (this is our 3rd toy in this month that doesn't work like its supposed to). Our son is so sad that they don't glow as he really wanted to look at them while sleeping. Not only they don't glow, but they are not even correct by color e.g. the earth could have been blue or green but is white. My son was really confused by that. Also took a long time to hang them with the push pins as the thread kept slipping between the ceiling and push pins. they could have just made another hook like thing that just needs to be pushed in. Don't buy this toy!
Not Educational . Sun and planets are not to scale. Two large gas giants, all other planets are nearly the same size, and our Sun is far too small.Use this toy, and your children will develop mistaken assumptions regarding the relative sizes of the Sun and planets compared to Earth.On the plus side, Pluto is included in the display with the other eight planets. Pluto aways was, and always will be a planet. Neil deGrasse Tyson can go kiss a big fat planet.
Jullians xmas . I gave this as a christmas present for a young man 11 years old who is interested in the planets. He has them above his bed so he can stare up in space and see the planets. He really likes it.

A Disappointment... . I am very disappointed with the overall quality of this product.
First, the Sun (about the size of an orange) does NOT glow in the dark AT ALL, and the planets glow very faintly.
Second, all of the planets are quite small: Jupiter and Saturn are about the size of tangerines and the rest of the planets are about the size of marbles.
Third, this set is obviously meant to hang from a LOW and FLAT ceiling, as instructions tell you to use push-pins and to tack the individual planets to the ceiling. It had better be a rather low ceiling or you will not see the small and faint planets.
Fourth, the product says it includes "hangers", which means a metal loop at the top of each planet. I mistakenly thought there would be some kind of mobile-like device that the planets would string to.
Fifth, the enclosed nylon string is much too thick for these very light-weight planets; the nylon string retains its curves from being wound around a piece of cardboard, and the planets do not really weigh down or straighten the string.
We have high vaulted ceilings so obviously this product does not work in our house as intended. I just lined up the planets above my son's closet door. I did not notice that the Sun was not painted with the glow tint until after all of my hard work of stringing up the planets, or else I definitely would have returned the product. All this said, our son seems to like and enjoy it anyway...

Very cool system . This solar system seems to be one of the few reasonably priced ones out there that actually includes a sun. Which is why I got it. The stringing is a bit difficult, and I'm having trouble finding a good way to get it to stay in our plaster ceilings. Outside of that, the set is very attractive & I like the coloring of the planets. I put it up near the ceiling light and they glow quite well.
They look Awesome in the Dark! . I bought this after reading several reviews on this product. When I received this I was quite pleased with the packaging and the contents themselves. All the plantes are there. They already have eyebolts on the top of them for easy of stringing. My son (5) loves them. He pointed where they are to go and was excited to get them.
