Fun with electricity . I bought this about 6 months ago and it still entertains me. It sits on my desk and i probably mess around with is 3 times a day for about 10 mins. I really cant tell if it is made from plastic or glass and i don't wanna test it out. I was told don't touch it with wet hands and keep water really far away.

Mini Plasma Globe Opinions
Great toy for a 7-15 year old . My boys that are 7 and 10 loved this. For that matter, so did my 4yo. It works great, and it is a nice size. I also like that the globe is made of plastic, not glass. It didn't last long, though. They had it plugged in as a night light, and one of the boys tripped over the cord. The globe didn't break, but it turn on any more. It only lasted one day. But that is the fault of my children, not the product. I would buy one again to replace it.

just what we wanted . My girlfriends daughter has wanted one of these for a long time. This was a perfect thing for her for a present.
Cons Review
fun for kids but... . My kid wanted to buy mini plasma after she saw one at MIT museum.
And I searched it on Amazon and bought one for her. She really likes it but after a few days, it stopped to work. The power adaptor seems to be broken though I am not sure plasma itself is, also, broken or not.
It is so disappointing.

Very sensitive!!! . my 8 year old daughter got this as a gift. within an hour she was holding it and dropped it on the "carpet" and it never worked again. they should say in bold letter to be very careful not to bump it or jostle it in any way as it's insides are very sensitive.
just thought I'd let people of younger children know to be very careful with it.
