Neat version of the magnadoodle . This is similar to the magnadoodles but instead of little peices of magnet on the screen they are little ball barings... i got htis as to let my kids have a bit more creativity... the pen aka the magnet) is strong... tends to pull up more than one at a time if not careful but thats fine by me... this is sturdy and looks like it will be a lot of fun for my girls.. bit nosiey because of the balls going back and forth but a very tactile way to learn to write and draw and just have creative fun!)

It's OK. My 2 1/2 year old didn't play with it long. . My 2 1/2 year old must be the odd one out. The store person said this was the best toy and sold out quickly whenever they got them in. My son played with it the first day for a solid 30 minutes, and then not really again. I keep it in the car and give it to him when he needs something to occupy a very short time. I, myself, think it's really neat and love playing with it. Not sure why my son hasn't taken to it. He also hasn't taken to the WEDGiTS Deluxe Set - 30 Piece Set that all the kids like, too. So if you have one of those kids it may be a short lived toy. I hope he'll like it as he gets older, or at least his younger brother will want to play with it! My son does like it if I draw shapes on the Magnatab and he guesses what they are. And he likes to flip the pad upside down to get the balls to stick out and then push them back with his fingers; come to think of it, I do too, it's addictive.

Gave it to the kindergartener but everyone uses it . We gave this item to my six-year-old son, and it turns out the whole family enjoys playing with, ages 6 to 86. Everything about it is satisfying -- its comforting weight, the click of the little magnets find their homes, and the smoothness when you use your finger to push them back. No one wanted to put it down -- should have purchased more.
