josie from Pennsylvania . I gave this and some of the other types to my nephews children for christmas and they couldn't wait to start digging. I was a good experience for them and I believe a learning experience. I would recommend this for any child ages 6 and up.

Good for Careful Kids . I bought this for my youngest sister, a very smart six year old who loves archaeology. She loved it and spent hours carefully digging away with all of the little tools. My other sister, twelve years old, also loved it. I though she would have been too old for it, but she begged the youngest sister to let her play with it. She wouldn't let her, so she took it while no one else was home one day. She wasn't patient or precise, so the fragile bones snapped. The youngest was devastated when she found out. I highly recommend this toy for patient kids. If there are siblings in a family, buy one for each just in case. :)
