Great educational toy . This product is a great learning tool to help teach a child to count and categorize. My son enjoys playing with it and it was a helpful tool in teaching him to count. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the quality for the price isn't there. The cans should (at least in my opinion) be made of a child safe plastic, but instead it's made of cardboard. It's definitely overpriced for the quality. The regular retail price is outrageous. On a side note, the carrot can had 11 carrots instead of 10.

Great Learning Toy . We purchased this set for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She absolutely loves taking out the items from each can - then we count them - then she puts them back in (or dumps them all into a toy shopping cart). Lots of fun and a great tool for learning. The pieces are large enough that I don't worry about her putting them in her mouth.

Very durable... . I have used this product in speech therapy and my kids realy love this product. We work on colors, counting, categorization, adjectives to desribe food items. I love it!

enjoyed at an earlier age than expected . I was planning to give this as a Christmas present to my granddaughter, however when I saw even at 14 months she was very interested in numbers and counting, I purchased it "just because". (I am afraid I have the condition "grandmaitis" and have a tendency to over indulge.) Back to the review- the baby loves it! She is engaged and interactive in the play. I, too, wish the "cans" were out of some kind of baby safe plastic, however if they are not strewn about to be stepped on, or dropped in the bathtub, they ought to hold up for a good while. After that, the food can become part of the child's kitchen. It was one of the more expensive educational toys I have purchased, but I am delighted with the purchase because it has been a delight for my granddaughter.
LOVE THESE! . These definitely exceeded my expectations. They are much larger than they appear (actually real can size) and though they are cardboard, they are extremely durable as are the plastic vegetables and fruits (made of hard plastic). The cardboard storage box is also nice. The options are truly endless with this toy - obviously counting and number recognition, but also play food, vocabulary development, sorting, stacking, in and out, size relationship, color recognition, etc, etc. Both of my children (ages 2.5 and 9 months) have been loving this set. Don't hesitate to buy these!!

Fantastic toy . My son (age 2.5) loves this toy. There are so many uses for this toy. I think it is an excellent value. My son has a kitchen and has been cooking with these since he got them.
WONDERFUL GIFT . This was given as a gift to my 2 yr. old granddaughter. In a just a few days, she was able to identify some of the numbers, just by looking at them on the outside of the cans. Now, three months later, she can visually identify the number on the outside of the cans. She picks up the fruit or veg. and counts them as she puts them in the correct cans. She has gotten so much use out of this gift in just a few short months. I would highly recommend this gift. It's a bit costly, but well worth it for the educational value. My only complaint would have to be that the cans are not holding up too well.
Cute fun and educational! . I highly recommend these. Not only is the food very realistic looking, they are very colorful and durable. The cans are thick cardboard with a durable laminated sticker and the lids are plastic...both are very strong and have held up to active play. I love that the food is all healthy choices and we count the items as we are putting them back in the cans. My daughter makes fruit salad and stew!
Number Soup Sorter . I have the Alphabet Soup Sorter and feel it is worth every penny I paid for it. Not so with the Number Soup Sorter. I sent it back. It's not something I would let the children play with because the pieces would be lost immediately. If it was half the price I might have kept it because the children do like the Alphabet version. Just think it was too expensive for what you got.
