Colorful and Interesting . We love the Astroid, it is interesting in how it works by a magnet keeping it in perpetual motion. The colors are vibrant and the base sits very nicely in a small space.
The only concern I had was, the directions didn't tell how to stop it when you want to stop it. My only option was to take the wheel off and take the battery out, then place the wheel back on. It would be nice if it had an on-off switch.
But it is lovely, a great price and a good converstion piece.

Cool science toy . This is a really neat item, but definitely should be kept away from kids under 10. I work with children, and the younger ones have already nearly broken it several times. It just needs a bit of a delicate touch!

This was bought for my father, who loves desktop toys for his home office, and he absolutely ADORES the ferris wheel!It doesnt' take long for things to start rolling - quite literally. Sure, it's a sideways action if you look at it normally, but in other way it could be rolling away, or toward you! or sideways in the other direction! It's a cute toy, and it helps explain the natural laws of gravity to the little kids - why things move how they do, showing the all important law of friction + gravity = fun.Rated 3 out of 5 for the short-lasting battery life, but other than that works like a dream!

Asteroid not for children . I bought this for my 8 year old autistic grandson for Christmas as a sensory input device. It is very cheaply made of plastic. I do not expect it to last the entire day. I would advise anyone to not buy this item for a child.
