$10 extra for butterflies . Great item but be warned it does cost $10 extra for the butterflies. Amazon's description for a free coupon is a little misleading. Otherwise, the caterpillars were neat and the butterflies are pretty.

Not just for kids . Each year I bring in Monarch eggs and tiny caterpillars because I have discovered that they disappear, probably being eaten by insects. I enjoy watching them eat the milkweed that I grow in my garden and bring in for them (Asclepias incarnata ) and watching how fast they grow, but when they are ready to go into the chrysalis stage they tend to wander off their food plant to find a good place to attach to for that process. This expanding Backyard Safari Butterfly Habitat is the perfect answer. Before I would confine them with a piece of window screen fashioned into a cylinder and hope they wouldn't crawl out under it or at the top that I held closed with clips.
This has the opening on top that give easy access for putting in fresh milkweed or cleaning up, or whatever needs to be done. Then after the season is over it folds down so compactly! Perfect! I first gave one to my little great granddaughter, then I decided I needed one too! EH
