This Fossil Shark Teeth Dig Kit is guaranteed to contain a minimum of 5 or more prehistoric fossilized shark teeth in every pound of Fossil-Rich Sediment. The fossils and the sediment come from a "Top Secret" location in a North Carolina limestone mine and most of the teeth are 58 to 62 millions years old, However, some of them are as much as 140 million years old. There are several species of teeth in each pound and may include Great Whites, Tigers, Sand Tigers, Threshers, Snaggletooth, Silkys, Duskys, Bulls and Lemmon Sharks.
As some of you may know, the sharks of this era (58-62 million years ago) are pre-Megalodon. The Megalodons were the largest sharks that ever existed on the face of the planet and all sharks prior to them were small in comparison.... similar to the size of present day sharks. SUPER FUN!!! . This was a lot of fun. My 5 year old son had a blast and sat quietly for over an hour making sure he didn't miss any teeth. Our bag of sediment was LOADED with little shark teeth. I will attach a pic if i can figure out how to. I am planning on ordering a bag every few weeks until my sons 6th birthday so that all his guests can hunt for these little treasures at the party. We had a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. AWESOME!!!
