'Egg' citing Growth! . This is a great visual for students to more concretely understand the development of a chick inside an egg. The construction of them is great -- they do not open up so easily that they 'fall apart' -- more appropriate for an adult to open and share. Definitely a great instructional aid for any classroom or learning environment hatching eggs!

Good for the Alphabet . I liked the colored manual alphabet cards. I was disappointed that there were not more signs, though. They will only be useful for one or two class periods.

Sign Language Pocket Flash Cards Reviews
Horrible . I was shocked when I received them in the mail, I thought they were ASL flash cards, but they are english signs not ASL. They shouldn't miss represent themselves that way.

Sign Language Pocket Flash Cards Opinions
great learning tool . my 4 year old is non-verbal and uses sign to communicate. we bought 2 sets of these; one for at home and one for my sons school. he is now learning the alphabet and starting to spell small words. love these...great learning tool.

Cards fun with my son . My son started to learn sign language at the babysitters before he was a year old. It was great to be able to communicate with him before he could talk. He just turned two and is learning more everyday and I have a hard time keeping up. I ordered the cards so we could be on the same page. Very helpful but are a bit hard to understand how to do some of the signs.

Cheap 3 Handheld Brass Telescope - Pocket Sized Scope - Nautical Decor Reviews

Price : $10.95

3 Handheld Brass Telescope - Pocket Sized Scope - Nautical Decor Reviews -

This fun telescope is made of brass and can fit in the palm of your hand. Use the loop to attach it to a key chain or zipper of a backpack. It is about 3" long when fully extended. The lens is about 1/2" wide. It can be retracted to fit in your pocket or purse for easy transport. Due to the fact that this item is hand finished, some differences in cosmetic appearance may occur.

Galileo is credited with inventing the first refracting telescope. Through his understanding of how light passes through a lens, he was able to construct a device that focused on an image and enabled the user to see an object as though it were brighter, clearer or closer.

The magnification of this brass telescope is about 3x.

Feature 3 Handheld Brass Telescope - Pocket Sized Scope - Nautical Decor

• Unique Home or Office Decor Item
• Made of Brass with Glass Lenses
• Great Addition to Your Maritime or Pirate Collection
• Approximately 3" Long When Fully Extended

This review is from : 3" Handheld Brass Telescope - Pocket Sized Scope - Nautical Decor
cool mini telescope . This telescope can be worn on a necklace, is retractable, and a really cool working telescope. If you wanted to use it as an opera glass or at a sporting event it would serve that purpose as well.

3" Handheld Brass Telescope - Pocket Sized Scope - Nautical Decor Reviews
3" Telescope with the Heart of an Explorer . This sweet little thing is perfect. It is only 3" long but it thinks it's much bigger, because it looks exactly right. I intend to buy more of them because they are so cute!

3" Handheld Brass Telescope - Pocket Sized Scope - Nautical Decor Opinions
Fun novelty item useful for crafting jewelry . I first saw mini brass telescope necklaces which could extend at a festival, selling for $30. I was tempted to buy one, but my friend dissuaded me, saying they could probably be found cheaper elsewhere. I looked up the necklaces on Etsy, but they were selling for about $30 as well.

However, I found the mini spyglass here. The telescope extends smoothly from about 1" to 3". The brass is a tiny bit discolored, but it makes it look antique.

I hooked the loop on a brass chain and made a necklace, perfect for gifting to my friends at a more affordable price. It would probably also make a really cute keychain.

Wow... these things are very cool! . I ordered up three of these to give out as prizes during an orienteering event I'm putting on for some local geocachers. I was looking for things that would be of decent quality, decent price, and be things that folks would be happy to win. This item scores on all three. They are very solid, extend smoothly, and actually work! Though 3x magnification isn't all that strong! The lenses are ground well, and there is no distortion. I was kind of expecting them to be a bit flimsy, but they are fairly substantial for their size. I may set them up with lanyards before giving them out. They'd make for a very nice necklace. Its always nice when you buy something online and then it exceeds your expectations. It didn't hurt that delivery was earlier than projected, either. I'd buy this again from this seller.

Teeny tiny . This is so tiny it's unusable. I bought it for my 3 year old as part of a pirate chest set and it's so small I have a hard time looking through it, let alone him. I wouldn't recommend this product at all.

SO TINY! . Somehow I thought it would be bigger. It DOES say '3" brass telescope' but I just didn't realize that 3" in miniature NOT just small. I honestly did not realize that the item that arrived was even the item I had ordered! I actually ordered three things from the same company. The Compass / Sundial in a wooden box, and also the Sextant in a wooden box. Both of those item's are beautiful but when I found the tiny little "telescope" I actually first thought an eye piece had come loose from the sextant! My next thought was that it was a little trinket they had thrown in as a thank you. I thought it was a little key chain miniature or some freebie. It NEVER occurred to me that this tiny little thing was what I had paid for. I expected it to be small... as in hand held type small. This is the size of a FINGER!
Oh well. That will teach me to get out my measuring tape next time.

Cons Review

Not Functional - FALSE ADVERTISING . I did not have huge expectations for this piece when I bought it; for six dollars, a couple of cheap, blurry plastic lenses and a brass-tone body was all I expected. I bought this as a gift for an imaginative six-year-old, and it didn't need to be anything serious. When it arrived, the front "lens" had fallen out inside the body of the "telescope." I unscrewed the front to put the lens back in position, and found that is was just a flat piece of glass that in my case was cut too small to stay in place. The back "lens" was the same.Flat glass =/= lens, folks. This telescope-like object has no magnification, and offers a better view if you remove the two pieces of blurry glass. I understand that this is supposed to be a costume piece. It didn't have to do much to live up to my expectations, and 3x as advertised isn't much. But it doesn't do anything at all! From the product description:
"Galileo is credited with inventing the first refracting telescope. Through his understanding of how light passes through a lens, he was able to construct a device that focused on an image and enabled the user to see an object as though it were brighter, clearer or closer. The magnification of this brass telescope is 3x."WRONG. The magnification of this brass(?) telescope-like-object is 0x. Suckers. If you buy this, realize that you will have to have the imagination of a six-year-old to get your money's worth.

Fun functional jewelry telescope . I bought this trinket for my girlfriend who considers this a must-have addition to her Steampunk attire, and not an "office supply" (which is the Amazon section it can be found it... LOL!). It IS tiny - tinier than it appears in the item photo, but cute. It has a loop to hang it as a necklace or a charm on a bracelet. And, it actually works OK, although not for any great distance. If you're into nautical or Steampunk items, this is a cute addition to one's collection.

Small telescope . Cheap. Not usable at all. Decoration ONLY. NOT FOR KIDS. Not for kids of ANY AGE. it's a MINIATURE, emphasis on SMALL.

My 10 year old son is in Electronics Heaven . My inlaws purchased this for my ten year old son who has been saying he wants to be an engineer when he grows up. It's PERFECT! Challenging, but not overwhelming. He's had the toy open now for 24 hours and has already done the first 8 (of 130) projects in the book. If you have a child who's always wanting to know how things work and who loves to work with his hands, this is a great choice! A+

Great Electronic Kit! . I bought this for myself. It's great for adults as well as children. I wish I had more time to do things with it!

Elenco 130-in-1 Electronic Playground and Learning Center Reviews
very advanced for a lil electronics kit . I got this for my sisters kid. He's really into computers and models and so why not try electronics. It's always good to know the basics and stuff. This kit looks pretty old, and lame,
like something from the 70's. But it is amazing what you can do with it. It is quite advanced with digital logic circuits. The instructions could use a lil more detail about all the componets,But overall its a great kit.

great toy . this was well worth the money, it was shipped quick and the whole family enjoys playing with it! also very educational.

Elenco 130-in-1 Electronic Playground and Learning Center Opinions
Could be better . So we bought this for our son for Christmas. While he has been having fun, I am not sure he has really learned anything???Though,he has only done 2 of the projects so far...we will see how this progresses. It would have been better if the "instructions" would also explain why things have to be wired the way they do in order for them to work. Maybe the intention was for the kids to have to research the WHY?About the product itself...it looks really cool but, it is very flimsy. The bottom is really just white cardboard,I did not expect that. Overall, it is a good little activity for kids. It definitely shows them how to be patient and try to work through things if it doesn't work right the first time. So, I would recommend to friends, it is better then having the kids play mindless video games.

Elenco 130-in-1 Electronic Playground . What a great idea !!! Too bad the unit is junk :( Good thing I'm really up on electronics because all I've done is solder the connector on the bottom side to get this piece of junk to work. Very frustration for my little guys. I've finally got both of the units I purchased working good but it took some effort! I've also found a lot of mistakes in the wiring diagrams. Glad there are schematics to follow and correct the wiring diagram for the not so yet future electronic engineers :)

All and all these units are now functioning pretty good for my little guys ... BUT ... this would not have been the case for many other consumers.

Feature Magnetic Poetry College Magnetic Poetry Kit

This review is from : Magnetic Poetry College Magnetic Poetry Kit
Intriguing Choice for College Students... . This is an interesting, audience-specific Magnetic Poetry word collection. Highly social college kids and college-bound kids might find this an amusing addition to their rooms / apartments, study areas, common areas,....and perhaps parties, party games? LOL :) The kit does allow for some fun with phrasing and sentences related to college life and experience.

For an idea of the word choices in this kit, please see the following list:
sorority, frat, brother, fight, gigantic, grade, athlete, fail, borrow, loud, brain, friend, skip, major, education, nap, exam, graduate, scholarship, computer, philosophy, library, study, dumb, coffee, science, easy, late, paper, break, book, loan, dorm, research, 101, money, pizza, cram, tuition, professor, semester, write, class, art, dance, party, learn, understand. // Words that some people might find objectionable: tequila, inhale, weed, bust, naked, beer, drunk, hottie, crib, shot, blow, smoke, jock. These words can be removed though. // The kit contains about 240 total words and word bits.

Not my favorite word kit. There are better ones in my opinion. :) However, for the target audience, perhaps this is a clever product with just enough attitude to please.

Magnetic Poetry College Magnetic Poetry Kit Reviews
Great little gift . The College Magnetic Poetry Kit was a neat and fun little way to give some of the students that I work with an opportunity to construct hilariously silly sentences. I certainly didn't want to condone any support for such words as "weed" and "smoke", so I simply took those words out before I put them up. The words can definitely be manipulated and moved to create very funny phrases. It's a great and cheap little gift for anyone.

CSI Forensic Entomology Kit in USA

Price :

Collect and examine insects with the CSI team.

This review is from : CSI Forensic Entomology Kit
Pretty good . So, I have one of those 7 year old boys who gets very bored, very easily. We took it outside and my child went looking for bugs for 45 minutes. We have a small lake in our neighborhood with a walking trail around it where he was able to find some worms at the shoreline and use the kit to examine them. My only complaint is the "big" bug house was really hard to put together and very low quality. I would have given this a five star review if the books enclosed and the big bug house were made slightly better. The pros the information presented seems to be good in the books provided. It made it easy to identify findings in our local area. It kept my child entertained for an extended period of time. We didn't need to add addition items to the kit to use it.The cons poorly quality of the big bug house and the books enclosed could have been made to be actual books instead of some loose sheets of paper stapled together.I would still buy this product again knowing what I know now.

Junior entomologist loves this toy . My 6yo is loving this toy. It gives her the tools she needs to do the "grown-up" entomology activities she wants to do.

Feature CSI Forensic Entomology Kit

• magnifying glass
• large sifter, insect guide, pencil, aerial mat

This review is from : 4D Vision Frog Anatomy Model
Very Cool . Gave this to my 9 year old daughter for xmas - she stopped opening presents so she could put it together! She loves it and takes it apart and puts it back together because she is fascinated by the anatomy of the frog. Super cool. And her little sister (age 7) got the shark. I would recommend this puzzle to any one who wants to get a kid excited about biology and anatomy.

4D Vision Frog Anatomy Model Reviews
Good model . This model was a good alternative to dissection for my 12 year old girl (homeschool zoology). Looks good, anatomically correct, sturdy, reasonably well built. Takes some dexterity to put together, but wasn't a problem for her. Materials that came with it were good, including basics of major organs, plus a great labeled diagram of a frog skeleton. The "Uncover a Frog" book was a good companion to the model.

4D Vision Frog Anatomy Model Opinions
HArd to get together and doesn't stay . If you want this for a one to two time use...perfect. If you want to be able to put together and set on counter if it gets bumped etc. it falls apart. My daughter became frustrated because she couldn't close it once she put all the peices together. She had to leave one out to get it to close and then the leg and arms kept falling off. If you want to treat it like a mister potato head toy this is cool and fun.

Cool and cute! . The dolphin was such a hit, that I had to get the frog too. Already had the Uncover a Frog book. Great companion!Uncover a Frog (Uncover Books)

Big Frog . It's bigger than it looks!
Although my daughter is only 6, she wants to be a vet so this was right up her alley. Her 8 year old brother had to help with some of the construction though.
Very good product and well made

Wonderful Flash Cards . I got this set for my son (as well as levels A and B) right before my son started kindergarten. It was nice to let him practice some of the easier sight words, and it really helped him as he started school. These flash cards are great as well, because they taught him words that are not pronounced phonetically as well as words that he began to see a lot as he started to read books. He enjoyed the "flash card" system, and even asked to work with them. Now, as he is in second grade, I still use the cards. This time, though, I use the cards to help him with spelling these words. He is an auditory learner and tends to try to write all words phonetically. By showing him these cards, I can let him see what the different words look like--and how they are not spelled as they are heard. My second son is starting kindergarten, and we have started to use the flash cards with him. I feel that we have gotten years of use out of these cards, especially since they are so durable. I know that they print words on both sides of the card to make the package less bulky, but I do wish , as another reviewer pointed out, that the words were only printed on one side so that I could put them in piles of "what my child knows" and "what my child doesn't know." Other than that, it is a wonderful educational product.

Sight Words Level C Pocket Flash Cards Reviews
Great product!! . I have all three sets of these flash cards. My 1st Grader is now very excited about reading as the flashcards are more like a game to her than an actual task. The cards are very durable. I wish I would have purchased these last year when she was in Kindergarten.
