Great Kit! Great Price! . This is an excellent kit. The quality of the components is high. The workmanship on the chassis is high. The documentation is excellent...includes many pictures, diagrams, theory of operation, check sheets, etc. This kit is sold in the Amazon toy store but it is NOT a toy...it IS a solid experimenter bench power supply. It is easy to assemble. It worked perfectly first time it was plugged in. I cannot verify the stated regulation or ripple specs (lack of proper test equipment and load cells at home). The only negative I have (and it isn't bad enough to reduce a five star rating) is the wiring of the regulator ICs and a power transistor is by direct soldering to the component leads...pretty low class. But it helps keep the kit cost low by eliminating sockets. Good soldering technique is required to accomplish this part properly.All-in-all a really good value and a lot of fun to assemble.

A very good choice for the experimenter or hobbyist . While it isn't designed to compete with lab grade power supplies costing several hundred dollars, it works very well and should more than meet the needs of the average experimenter or hobbyist.I was going to add more filtering across the binding posts but after looking at the output under load with an oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer I see no need. The output is very clean and stable.While the construction is simple and straight forward, this kit does require good soldering and assembly skills. Mostly for wiring the binding posts and voltage regulators that mount to the heat sink. You need to free-hand solder wires to the leads of the binding posts and TO-220 regulators which takes a little experience and skill. Instructions are better than average with plenty of information about how the circuit works. The only trouble I encountered was a nut that didn't have any threads, which I replaced with one of my own. Other than that everything was there and it worked perfect when done. I put it together in an evening with many, many breaks. Total time actually working on it was probably 1-2 hrs.Bottom line, I'm happy and am comfortable recommending this power supply. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the wiring of the regulators on the heat sink.

Elenco AC/DC Triple Output Power Supply Kit Opinions
Definitely Not a Toy . This kit, at an unbeatable price for its functionality, is much more difficult to put together than I originally had expected. Wiring the terminal plugs is going to be an exercise of your engineering prowess and patience. Soldering the ICs will make you reconsider whether the makers of this unit know what they're doing. Also, the kit should have provided shrink tubing to protect the leads of the ICs from making accidental contact with one another, especially since they are potentially reachable from outside the enclosure.

The circuit board itself is well made and outlines the polarity of diodes and the electrolytic capacitors. The instruction booklet details the process of soldering and explains the circuit quite well. It however, falls short on the order of the instructions. If I were to go back and assemble this kit again, I'd have made significant changes to the order in which parts are assembled/soldered. I'm not convinced Elenco did a check to see that someone who hasn't designed/assembled this kit could follow the instructions to the letter without issues.

While I wouldn't discourage anyone trying to get a great deal on a variable power supply, I would have to warn them that this kit will take a good deal of patience to assemble and you should buy heat shrink tubing for the ICs to avoid shorting them out. That being said, this is a great addition to a basic electronics lab if you don't have to assemble it yourself!

Poor packing led to broken PCB . This product was received with a broken PCB.It's pretty hard to break a PCB. Careless packing and handling are the only reason that this product could have shipped with a broken PCB. It would actually take effort to break the PCB so someone along the line must have known something wasn't right.I have to take this product down a notch since it is such a hassle to have to ship this back for a replacement. Who has time to take off work to stand in line at the post office to return things? Regardless of how well it may work when in good condition if the purchasing experience is unpleasant then reviews should reflect that. Had I known of this I'd have skipped it and paid more for a fully assembled unit. Whatever apparent savings there might have been from assembling it myself was lost when a defective item was shipped.....I'm bumping this up to two stars because having assembled it and gone through the instruction sheets I've actually decided it's a pretty cool old school design.However, the components are of pretty low quality and with the return issue I can't bring myself to take it up to three stars.

Elenco AC/DC triple output power supply kit . This kit is very good. It is easy to put together, and the final product is of high enough quality to use for years to come.I have read some complaints about soldering the binding posts. May I suggest that if you are having a problem in this area, that it is you who need to improve your technique. I had no problems soldering to these posts, and I am just getting back into electronics after many years away from it. You can do it easily, but only if your soldering technique is up to snuff.The only reason I am only giving this 4 stars is because of the rather lame method of attaching the transistors/voltage regulator ICs to the heatsink and then having to soldering wireds to each of their terminals. Come on Elenco, there are much better ways of doing this.Anyway, It took me a few hours to put together and it worked perfectly the first time out. Double check your work every step of the way, and you will be fine. Be especially vigilant when wiring the sections illustrated in Figure I on page 9. You don't want to miswire the AC.

Pretty Good . I don't have a lot of experience soldering so I started with a couple of Elenco soldering practice kits. By the time I finished those I was convinced my soldering skills were good enough to tackle this power supply kit.All in all it took me about 4 hours total and that included lots of breaks from actual work to carefully review the instructions.Like others have said, it would have been better if the IC's were mounted on the PCB versus the heat sink. I also had a quite a bit of trouble attaching wires to the binding posts but I got it done eventually. It helps that I have small hands. Anyone with big hands could have a bit more difficulty.Curiously, I got -1.25 to -16.6 V on the negative variable output and +1.25 to +17 V on the positive variable output. Not really sure why. All other tests checked out perfectly.As long as I don't go shaking this thing like crazy I feel that it will last for a long time.

Power supply . The power supply arrived on the advertised and neatly packaged. The instruction are very good. I was able to completely assemble and test the power supply in about 5 hours. I am slow, but steady and experienced with electronic kits. Two things stand out: 1) You need a decent soldering iron with a variable temperature control. The Sn based solder is MUCH more challenging to work with than the old Pb product. This has nothing to do with Elenco, lead is no longer used due to it's poisonous nature. I found that the solder traces, especially on the large 'lytic caps needed much more heat.2) Put a 2cm length of 5mm heat shrink tubing over the wire leading to base (middle) leads of the transistors and regulators mounted on the heat sink BEFORE soldering the leads. Again Sn based solder can lump easily, and there is not much room between the collector, base, or emitter. I also tinned both the wire and leads before I assembled this part of the kit.Other than these cautions I am enjoying my new power supply. It's nuthin' fancy, but I don't need anything really upscale. Remember, 1A is a lot of power when working or modern electronics.

AC/DC power supply . This power supply is an excellent value. It performs very well. The AC output is useful. I have kit building experience, so there was no problems in building this unit.

Cons Review

this could have been better . I've just finished assembling this. It works, but I find some of the assembly techniques cheap. The biggest one is highlighted in other reviews: the voltage regulators don't mount on a circuit board. They mount to a heat sink that sticks out the back of the unit. Wires are attached to the legs that go to the PCB. The instructions caution the assembler to be careful not to let the legs short together. Indeed. If only they had been mounted to a circuit board, there would be no danger.Other gripes: Some of the binding posts have to be tied together, rather than that just happening on the circuit board. The wiring is also pretty tight in there. The directions do a good job keeping everything accessible, but repair makes me nervous. I'm glad I didn't make any major mistakes!All the parts were included in my kit. My only problem parts-wise is that one of the PCB mounting legs snapped when I installed it. There isn't much extra included except a bit of wire.That all said, it is attractive, and the semiconductors seem fine and the circuits familiar and reasonable. The instructions are complete and reasonably well-written, and I expect no problems from this for a long time.

Teach My Preschooler Reviews
My daughter loves this . My daughter got this for her 2nd birthday and she most especially loves using the writing board to trace the letters and numbers. Admittedly, yes, the board is flimsy and our daughter stepped on hers and the frame broke, but we're still able to use it. She enjoys it so much we'll probably replace it with the Fisher Price magnetic writing board for Christmas, but she'll still be able to use the letter and number transparencies from this set for that replacement board. She also enjoys the counting set - especially playing with the foam numbers and placing them on the 1-100 counting board. I am sure as she gets a little older she will enjoy the reading primers and math materials also, but we're not there yet.

Teach My Preschooler Opinions
The magnetic writing pad was very flimsy and breaks easily . I bought the aforementioned product for my nephew who is over 2 years old. Although the content is quite educational, the material of most of the subobjects within is quite flimsy and not worth 50$. The magnetic board broke quite soon.

Dino Nest Dig a Hit With The 5-Year Old . My 5-year old dug right into this dino egg excavation kit, even though we opened gifts later in the evening and he should have been tired. He even said, "I really like Santa for bringing me this!"
He pounded through the sand conglomerate of the first two eggs in the first two days and 'saved' the third egg to finish a few days later. The hammer and chisel were pretty effective, and the safety glasses look great on!
He also liked painting his own designs on the little dinos.
I would recommend this kit to anyone who has a budding paleontologist in the family. I am likely to buy an additional kit for my little guy's next birthday.

Great except for one thing . My 7-year old daughter LOVES dinosaurs, so when she got this for a gift she was really excited. The dig went great - be warned, it's really messy and do make sure to have them wear the safety goggles because rocks really fly all over the place. After she unearthed two dinos, we went inside all excited to paint them. Well, the paint was dry....completely dry - just a chunk of color. I tried adding water to it, but nothing is making this paint budge. It's a bummer ending to an otherwise awesome toy.

fun for junior paleontologists . I purchased this toy for my daughter's 7th birthday. She had a GREAT time discovering the dinosaurs inside the 3 eggs. The tools fit her hands, held up and have been used for other projects as well. There was some damage to a couple of the eggs in shipping but there was still plenty of excavating left to do. One piece of advice, do this OUTSIDE or you will have chunks of rocks all over.

Excellent and a MUST HAVE for your dinosaur enthusiast . My sons, 7 and 4 years old, had a lot of fun with this kit. They worked together and were completely engrossed in it until completion. A great GREAT product.

For adults too . Ok, so I (male adult, 40+) bought this Geomag set with the idea to play with it one or two evenings, and give to my nephew. No way that is going to happen. I have to buy a new set for m nephew, and I am tempted to buy a second set for myself along with it. This is so much fun to experiment with. the set arrived yesterday, and I have played with it just one evening. Like anyone else, you start with a tetrahedron, then built other Platonic solids such as an icosahedron, to end up with a buckyball. It is wonderful to experience a feeble structure snap together in a stiff structure with a beautiful geometric structure. You can do much more than building such well-known structures. Simple geometric shapes I didn't know even existed emerge naturally. I just wish this would have existed when I was a kid. My advise: don't buy a small set, you inevitably end up upgrading. To give you an idea: this largest set with 120 magnet bars is just enough to build a Buckyball (90 edges) and an icosahedron (30 edges). have fun!

Great creative toy . I gave this to my two grandsons as a birthday gift recently. They are three and five years old. They both love to create and build, so their mother suggested this toy, as they are always playing with a set like this at their pre-school when she picks them up. I am ordering panels to go along with the set for Christmas. I would highly recommend buying as large a set as possible, as they sometimes want to admire their creation for awhile as they create something else. Also, a larger set is better when two children are using it at the same time.

Geomag Kids 216 Pcs . It's a great educational toy, to help kids understand magnetism but also have a lot of fun creating new figures with it. The limit is your imagination!!

Great toy for my kid . This was an excellent toy choice for my 6 y.o. son. He often spends over an hour building structures with this. To put this in perspective even the most flashy of entertainment loses his interest after 30 minutes. I've also discovered that this is an effective way to help my son relax before before sleep at night. After 30 minutes of building with this set he seems much more ready to sleep.

Product quality and durability, a concern with a boy, is great.

This is a fun toy and I often build alongside my son. There are enough parts for two to create separately or collaborate. Honestly this is so much fun that I've been known to wait until my son goes to sleep then continue my building. When I'm outed for doing this I use my right as a dad to respond "Hey, who said life was fair."

addictive . This product was purchased for an adult as a whimsical Christmas gift. I decided on Geomag instead of Magnetix because of the many reviews which indicated that Geomag made a better quality product. The kit I received has 3 colors: Dark Blue, Green, and Metallic Aqua. The colored bars are packaged in multiples of 12 or 24 in styrofoam flat containers each with a complement of steel balls. Each bar is 58mm (2.25"). The product is well made.
The magnets are very strong.
The parts look good and feel good to the touch.
The $50 price for the 216-pc kit was very good compared to other kits.The product comes with a color instruction sheet and gives you some examples of what you can build. It's engaging and it makes you focus. It's a toy but also a teaching tool. I think those children who can sit down and play quietly would love this product. For those who can't, it could be an interesting experiment. We devised a game in which we build something sturdy and then start to remove pieces one-by-one until the integrity is compromised (think Jenga). I agree with other reviewers that the product is addictive and I wish I had more pieces even though 216 is quite a few.

Adding on . I got a set of Geomags and enjoyed it. Unfortunately, when you get good, you discover that you need more and more parts. This is a good add-on of balls and bars. It doesn't have the plastic squares and triangles, which I got in a different set.

Great toy for everyone. . I could not decide between Magnetix or GeoMag but based on reviews I went with GeoMag and I am glad I did. Great quality product and the kids love it, but I would recommend buying more sets because you quickly run out even with 216 pieces as I just learned.

A great gift . I got this as a gift for my twins on their fourth birthday. Its been six months and they still play with this (though not as much obviously). Its fun to see them working on designs. The only problem is that four year olds are not good at putting things away, so we have small silver balls and green magnet bars scattered around the house quite a bit!

Neat and enjoyable . I bought this for my nephew who is into unique and diffrent things. I was not sure how he would like, but I thought it would be a great to try. Needless to say he loved it. Of course now there is a head sitting on his t.v. but oh well. I watch the show even though he does not.

Review of CSI Kit . Overall, we are happy with the product as it contains everything as shown in the picture and the fact that it came with an actual "case" to solve, really added value to the kit. I do want to mention, however, that we thought the carrying case would be more durable - made of metal, but it's plastic and has to handled with care. That would be my only complaint ... or suggestion for improvement.

Currently a lot cheaper at Toys 'R' Us. Great kit that is a lot of fun. . We bought this in Toys 'R' Us today for $29, which is supposedly their regular price.

It is a great kit, that pretty much performs as advertised. I agree with the other reviewer that the box is kind of flimsy, but for $29, I didn't feel that was a big issue. There is a lot to do with this, and is appropriate for both one child, or kids to do as a group. You won't be disappointed.

Poor Quality for the Price . My son was as disappointed as we were with this product. The invisible ink was missing, the black ink is nowhere close to finger print ink and very difficult to remove. The microscope lens is blurry...with and without the light. Overall- it's cheap plastic and not worth anywhere near $60. We are attempting to return this item; however to date (after approximately 9 days, the seller is not cooperating as far as allowing us to return it).

Liz Phillips - Situation Card? . My children got this toy for Christmas of 2010, and they really enjoyed playing with it, we had a lot of fun together playing with all that was included. My problem came when my wife found a love letter under the bed in our guest room, a love letter from Liz Phillips. I have been accused of an affair with Liz but I have no idea who she is. I'm assuming it came from this game. She mentioned a rose sketched at the bottom of the note. Have any of you seen this love letter in this kit? Please post a picture if possible. CSI Field Kit is cool but not everything you hope for. . The CSI Field Kit is a fun toy, but unless your child knows how to use it, it is frustrating. There is nothing that shows you how to use all the items in the box. Eventually, you end up with a lot of plastic toys that don't do anything, plastic gloves and police tape that get torn, etc. I also purchased other CSI toys-walkie talkies (don't work that well), a listening device, and a kit containing actual cases. That kit is somewhat useful, but you don't get to use all the cool CSI stuff the way the child expects.

not happy . I recently purchased this CSI kit for my daughter for Christmas and was disappointed. The products in the kit are very small, barely enough to do any experiments or tasks and the "case" it came in is made of thin, flimsy cardboard. The pictures and descriptions do not match the poor quality of the kit. In addition to buying a rather expensive kit, I now have to buy her a real case to keep it in because the cheap box broke as soon as she opened it. Not happy!

CSI FIELD KIT . I bought this for my grand daughter for her birthday, from the picture I was under the impression it was a real case not a cardboard case.. For the most part it was everything it was suppose to be.. She liked it but for the money I was hoping for a little better product.

Best Toy EVER !!!!!!!! . The Junior Kit is great and my kids love it, but the best part is the kit really works. Dusted around the broken glass from a car break in my home driveway. Found some prints and gave them to the local cops. Two punks were caught days later.

Good concept...poor quality. . This looked so promising to me. The phonics games you can create out of it are endless, however, the quality isn't that great. The lids don't fit properly on many of the cans and some of them are dented a bit (they are only made out of cardboard). The letters/pictures aren't the best quality either...they have wrinkles and bends in the carboard. I'm not thrilled with the quality of it, but I love the idea of it.

A Great Toy for Preschoolers . As a preschool teacher in an inclusion class I am always looking for a new game or toy that will motivate the children to learn, keep their attention and can be used by students who range in age and ability. I have purchased activities similar to this, but they have not been durable or have had tiny pieces that were a choking hazard.
The Alphabet Soup Sorters are fantastic!
The pictures of real objects are easy to identify. The material they pictures are printed on is durable. The size of the pictures are perfect for little hands.

Younger children can match the letters to the cans or work on naming objects.
Older students can identify the letter the objects begin with or can sort the
pictures by beginning letter sound. It is self correcting because the words are on the back of every photo. Thanks Learning Resources for making a great product!

Alphabet Soup Sorter . I think this product is an excellent addition for teachers to supplement their program. I would not let the children play with them without supervision but they have a wonderful time trying to remember the items in each can...sorting a few letters when contents have been mixed, etc... Awesome learning toy . I just bought this toy for my 2 1/2 year old and we both absolutely love it. We have been working on her ABC's for awhile but she is struggling with the letter recognition. This has been a great hands on toy for her. She loves opending up all the can and getting the pieces out. The games she plays with them are limitiless including I-Spy, sort the objects, Find specific letters, stack the cans, .... Mikey likes it! . My 2 1/2 year old son loves this educational toy. He is in preschool and they learn a new letter each week. I must admit it is hard for Momma to think of words that start with each letter. This is a great set to use to back up what he is learning in school. If it keeps his attention more than 10 minutes, which it does, then it's a winner!

GREAT PRODUCT!!! . I purchased this for my two year old niece, and once she opened this it was the only thing she was interested in!!! She spent more than an hour going through each can and naming the pieces! Let me tell you... that is a remarkable length of time for a little girl her age! The best part is that it will grow with her! Great teaching tool . I use these sorters with my kindergarteners to introduce the letter of the week. I also use them to compare. The kids love sort the pictures of two letters.

Great for Pre-school kids... . Was looking for creative ways to reinforce letter recognition in my pre-school classroom. Love this "hands-on" learning learning style, which can be used in a variety of ways. Bought this in preparation of this new school year, so we'll see how it works. The quality of the containers is not very strong and not sure how it will hold up to repetitive use, but love this creative idea!

Excellent spotting or Travel scope. . This 80mm refractor is very good for spotting and bird watching. I have taken photos of many birds with it. The best thing I like about it is it's light weight, which makes it easy to use as a travel scope. It is much lighter than other 80mm refractors that I have owned.The blue color looks great. Best toy for teaching patterning . I was researching the preK-K educational toys in the teacher's college when I found this toy kit in the library. It was a great teaching tool for sequencing and patterning. The insect counters are life-like; the kit itself is simple to use and extremely durable.
However, since it is on the pricey side as a toy, I recommend users to purchase only the counters for teaching purpose. The basic idea is to show kids a pattern, and ask kids to continue the pattern with the insect counters.

Excellent but pricey . Sequencing and sorting are important skills for kids to practice, and this toy makes it fun. The bright colors and handy carrying case make it appealing and portable. What kid can resist multicolored critters?

If you have the money, this is a good tool. If you can't shell out that much dough or if you just think your head might explode when you realize that the little plastic pieces you paid so much for are scattered all over the house, you can recreate the concept for little or nothing with a bag of twelve bean soup. Learning Resources Let's Tackle Math Patterning and Sequencing Set Opinions
Good for very new learners . I really like this set as it does as advertised, teaches patterns and sequencing. It is really nice to use with more than one child. However, for the price I would have liked to see a larger variety of activities in the guide book. There could have easily been some simple addition/subtraction activities in the book as well as these types of activities naturally grow out of learning patterns and sequences. Of course we made our own simple problems, but I should not have needed to for the price we paid for this set. Also, once you take everything out of the tackle box is it really hard to get them all back in.
Overall, I would buy it again under the following conditions:
1. More than one child just starting to learn to recognize patterns
2. Readily being able to come up with adaptations for the activities in the book - once a toddler/preschooler does the card once or twice they really "have it" and don't need to keep doing the same exercise over and over again.

Educational and very fun for bug lovers . I got this as an educational toy, but my kids play with it even when we're not sequencing. This is one of the best purchases I've made. My 2-year-old and 4-year-old can sequence at different levels.

Flimsy. Not durable. Falling apart so not worth even half the price! . I am so disgusted and disappointed by this toy. Although the premise is fantastic.

Backstory...My toddler becomes bored with toys that are simplistic and shows greater capability for pattern making so I was SO EXCITED to find this toy. Expensive?! Who cares! I bought it without thinking twice. It is so hard to find toys for intelligent babies these days and especially little girls when all the market seems to want to push are 'happy ever after' disney princess toys that require no thought whatsoever to operate. So Kudos to Kaplan learning center! I applaud you for your efforts. But I have been frusterated by this toy and I feel the need to give you this honest review so here goes.

My little girl is the typical toddler, energetic and rough and tumble. I expected the plastic parts of this toy to last longer. They did not. Within a week of her playing with this and carrying it around everywhere and sequencing her little bugs endlessly the first part broke on us. It was the handle on the blue tray that can be positioned upwards, one of the little brackets that helps seat it inside the actual tray disappeared. This made the handle useless and because it only attached to one side of the tray. No biggie. I took it out and although operation of the toy was clumsy (my daughter could no longer carry the toy around with her) she could still open the box, put everything inside, take it out, put the tray in, take that out, count everything and of course sequence and pattern with the book.

Then within several more days the hinges on the box broke. So my daughter can no longer carry this toy around with her. The box is useless except for storage but with her refined motor skills still in development she is not able to positon the tray just right so that the box will close without unseating the lid again and becomes frusterated. I encourage toy clean up after play and indeede this is even part of our learning proces and play so that for a while she avoided the toy because she could not properly clean up after herself (and then feel proud and gain confidence).

The direct result has been that I have taken the case away. I put the the little bugs and frogs in a basket with the tray and a book. I mostly just hope that the toy will not break further. It is unfortunate that the toy has turned out to be so fragile. It cannot be stored like a tackle box or carried around as intended.

Kaplan, please keep in mind that when you create a toy for children it needs to be DURABLE. If any of the parts are too fragile to withstand play the toy will lose its appeal. If using a stronger plastic on the case and tray is not possible I recommend that the price for this toy be cut in half (or less) to reflect its fragility.

Great toy! . My 2 year old does colors and my 4 year old does sorting and sequencing. They love this game and ask to play it all the time...Motivational!

My son loves this toy! . This toy has brought tons of fun in the last few days. My three year old loves it! He loves the different bugs and finding them to match the sequences. It is a bit hard to fit everything back in the box. Also, the little worms are small and I have a little one in the house as well so I put them away. I wish there were more types of bugs, etc. instead of 4 different types of frogs and different worms. It would be nice if there were bees, ants, etc. Besides that, it is truly an entertaining and educational toy.

Neat Childrens light up globe . My 6 year old grandson was thrilled with this globe. He loved seeing where the different animals come from in each country. Then he loved turning on the light and having the different species of fish in each region become visible. THere is also a nice book that explains the animals that comes with the globe. Magnificent! Children can learn and grow with this. . We recently purchased this globe as a Christmas gift for our four and half year old son and I am SO glad we did! It is extremely well constructed and looks lovely when it is lit up at night. It comes with a soft-cover think (but small) encycyclopedia-type reference guide that explains what the animals depicted on the globe are, where they live in the world, and some interesting facts about them. The place names are all clearly marked on the globe but the animal names are not. Instead, there is a number next the picture of each animal that corresponds to the write-up in the guide I just decribed. For our son (who is too little to read that level of text yet) it is great fun to sit with us, choose an animal in the book or on the globe, and then listen as we read to him about it. This globe is perfect for him because (like most children) he loves animals, and is also fascinated with geography and the concept that the planet is vast and full of a variety of climates, wildlife, and terrain. I am confident that this globe will last, hold his interest (and ours), and will grow with him over time. This is the kind of purchase that is so worth the money - glad I took the plunge and bought it.

Cons Review

Misled . I THOUGHT i was ordering the CRAM Herff Jones globe...what I GOT was some knock off "DINOZ" globe. These two globes are VERY similar, but are quite different in quality. The CRAM Herff globe has realistic animal pictures and the sea creatures appear when the globe is turned on. The DINOZ globe i got in the mail has cartoon animals and sea creatures and nothing appears when the light is turned on. I have always been happy with my purchases with amazon, and this is the first time i feel that i have been MISLED.

DISSAPOINTED . So I wanted to buy my son a toy like this but everywhere I looked it was just to expensive and this seemed to be the most reasonable. I was sooo wrong. As soon as I got this product in the mail it was just to tiny. I mean it was small. I was so disappointed that I got a toy like this for my son. I was thinking I was going to get a big toy that stands on the floor that is at least bigger than my 12 month old. I was so wrong this was half the size of my 12 month old. I would have returned it but it was just too much of a hassle. For the price that they are selling this for it is not worth buying. I would settle for the ones you get at Target or at Toys R' Us or somewhere else for that matter. He barely even plays with this thing cause he just carries it around tossing it around cause that's how small it is. I'm just plainly dissapointed by this product.

Boikido Counting Station . My grand-daughter is enjoying her play station. She just turned 15 months. As she gets older, we will really start working on the numbers and letters, but right now, she loves to spin all of the gadgets around. Nice accessory to her other toys.

TINY . seems much to small for a 1 year old even. my son would never be able to stand and play with it. its so small he could carry it! other than that he thought it was awesome, i'm going to get a larger one.

Great first telescope!!! . This telescope is amazing - we love everything about it. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in the stars or watching birds or ships out on the sea. My daughter received this for Christmas and loves it. We were able to hook it up to our camera's tripod, so we have a higher tripod and the smaller one as well to use.
