not very well desinged . As far as educational value for assembling an electrical DC motor with my 7 year old it served its purpose. She learned about motors. However, the quality of the parts is on the cheap side and the pieces not always fit properly. The biggest disappointment was using it as a boat. That was terrible. The boat sank immediately if I arranged the components as shown in the picture in the box. I had to put the battery case apart and under the motor to balance the load properly to avoid sinking the boat. The propeller is a joke and can barely move the boat. I bought it mainly for its educational purposes and not as a boat but at least I was expecting a boat that does not sink so easily.
