A Challenging Game! Great for Visual Spatial Thinkers. . This game is shaped like a three sided triangle (but I keep seeing it referred to as a pyramid by the manufacturer, last I knew a pyramid has four sides).
It has different colored plastic shapes that remind me of the video game Tetris but with three dimensional shapes not just two dimensional shapes. The pieces are three dimensional pentominoes. There are 432 different puzzles that can be made.
The instruction book tells you starting placements of some of the pieces and then what the outside of the finished pyramid looks like. You must fill in the steps in between to make it look correct in the end. In the beginning they give more hints, as the puzzles get harder they give you less hints. You are supposed to start with puzzle #1 and go forward from there. By the end the player is doing most of the work.
Because this game is three dimensional you need to have a good visual spatial abilities. This is a huge challenge for me as I'm not good at visualizing in three dimentional shapes. However this is right up my older son's alley; he has a natural knack for visualization in three dimensions.
This game is enjoyed by my eight and eleven year old sons. They like it so much they bicker over who can play with it.
The manufacturer makes all kinds of claims such as raising intelligence in anyone who plays it, keeping away Alzheimer's and even if played by pregnant women, to raise the intelligence of the developing baby! I don't believe that last claim especially, but this is definitely a good mind workout and does require logical thinking skills.
This is a fun game to leave on the coffee table for guests to play around with too.

price the durability and weight are what makes up the price of $79.95. I am a Lonpos fan. I own Lonpos 101,
Lonpos 505, and Lonpos 404. I just can't get enough of Lonpos. The instruction book tells you starting
placements of some of the pieces and then what the outside of the finished pyramid looks like. You must
fill in the steps in between to make it look correct in the end. The instruction book provides hints for
puzzles 1-108. From 109-432 you must visit the Lonpos website for more hints. However from here on the
puzzles get harder as it does not tell you what the finished pyramid should look like. I have finished puzzle
challenge 98. At first I was reluctant to purchase this because of the price. I did not think it worthwhile to
purchase more puzzles and more of the similar puzzles. However now I think it was worth it. This puzzle will
last a lifetime!!!
