Very Cool . Gave this to my 9 year old daughter for xmas - she stopped opening presents so she could put it together! She loves it and takes it apart and puts it back together because she is fascinated by the anatomy of the frog. Super cool. And her little sister (age 7) got the shark. I would recommend this puzzle to any one who wants to get a kid excited about biology and anatomy.

4D Vision Frog Anatomy Model Reviews
Good model . This model was a good alternative to dissection for my 12 year old girl (homeschool zoology). Looks good, anatomically correct, sturdy, reasonably well built. Takes some dexterity to put together, but wasn't a problem for her. Materials that came with it were good, including basics of major organs, plus a great labeled diagram of a frog skeleton. The "Uncover a Frog" book was a good companion to the model.

4D Vision Frog Anatomy Model Opinions
HArd to get together and doesn't stay . If you want this for a one to two time use...perfect. If you want to be able to put together and set on counter if it gets bumped etc. it falls apart. My daughter became frustrated because she couldn't close it once she put all the peices together. She had to leave one out to get it to close and then the leg and arms kept falling off. If you want to treat it like a mister potato head toy this is cool and fun.

Cool and cute! . The dolphin was such a hit, that I had to get the frog too. Already had the Uncover a Frog book. Great companion!Uncover a Frog (Uncover Books)

Big Frog . It's bigger than it looks!
Although my daughter is only 6, she wants to be a vet so this was right up her alley. Her 8 year old brother had to help with some of the construction though.
Very good product and well made

This review is from : Fisher Price - Learn Thru Music Plus With Laurie Berkner
Huge Fan of Laurie Berkner Son can't get enough!! . Hello,

I just thought I would let all of you know a little more about this product. I bought the original and stumbled upon this one on the site and had to contact Amazon to find out what it was, just received it. It is a bit beat up but I will be contacting them. This is the complete plus system with the Laurie Berkner catridge, we are huge fans! This is not sold in stores, you can only purchase on Amazon. The songs included are Boots, Bottle Caps, I'm Gonna Catch you, Fruit Salad Salsa and Drive my car. I haven't given it to my son yet, as it is a Christmas present, but tested it out and he is sure to love!

Fisher Price - Learn Thru Music Plus With Laurie Berkner Reviews
An ABA teacher's dream . I am an ABA teacher and therapist for young children on the Autism Spectrum. I have had the original version of this toy for years (2 actually) and just purchased the newer version. While it is a little pricey on Amazon, it was imperative I get the Laurie Berkner Cartridge. This toy motivates my students more then anything else. I use it as a reinforcer and I have yet to meet a child that does not love this toy. The microphone is a great incentive to encourage speech from the children as well. A HUGE must for any ABA therapist or teacher. Worth every penny...

Fisher Price - Learn Thru Music Plus With Laurie Berkner Opinions
My little girl LOVES this toy!!! . I bought the Learn through Music Plus system with the Laurie Berkner cartridge from Toy's R Us for about 40 or 50 dollars a few months ago. It has a lighted touch screen and the cartridge is like a scroll. It goes through quite a few different pictures that play different songs for each one. It's really cute and a must have for your little music lover. I think this is the closest thing to a handheld video game for small children and they can learn from it. My daughter plays with it almost every day!! Every time we visit people and she brings it all the other kids huddle around her because they want to play with it. It's a really great toy!

Lovin' and learnin' thru music . My grandson who is 2 1/2 is definitely tuned in to music so when I saw this toy I thought it was a terrific way to learn. My son tells me that Ben loves it and plays it all the time. I'm sure he's learning also. I'll know better when I visit next.

Great for Preschoolers . This was a Christmas gift for my two year daughter. She loves the music and knows all the songs already. She can even spell "Boots" now. It's a little loud but I would definitely recommend it for toddlers.

Super fun educational toy! . This is the best toy I think I have ever purchased. My grandson began playing and singing with it the moment he opened it. He is so attached to it now that it is trouble when his toy is put away for bedtime or meals. He is 19 months old and loves every minute with his new favorite toy. His mom loves that it is so educational and keeps him occupied for hours while she does her own thing around the house. I highly recommend this toy to anyone with a toddler!

Great toy for kids ages 2-4 . My 21 month old daughter loves her new Learn Through Music Plus! She has just discovered the microphone and is having a blast singing into it and hearing herself. Right now she enjoys the songs the most, but I'm sure in a couple of months she will understand the "games" more. We purchased a few more cassettes and she really likes the Elmo Scavenger Hunt. I really like the Laurie Berkner cassette, although the songs are a bit short so hearing them over and over can get a little annoying. There is a volume control, but even the soft volume is a bit loud. Otherwise, it's a great toy. This toy was a big hit with my almost 4 year old nephew too! He played with it the whole time he was at my house.

great find . I couldn't believe that this was the same machine that sells for almost twice as much elsewhere. My daughters are HUGE Luarie B fans from watching Jack's Big Music Show.
My sister-in-law recommend the toy and when found this version I was thrilled.
Its a Xmas gift so they haven't played with it yet, but I anticipate hearing it every day.

This review is from : Famemaster 4D Scorpion Anatomy Model
Another winner. . So far, I've loved this entire series. The thing to keep very much in mind is that the 4D vision products, including the scorpion, are puzzles before they are models, and they can be difficult to put together. Frankly, I never quite got part of the tail or one claw just right with this one. The pieces could have been made with a better eye toward fitting easily together so the puzzle is more related to understanding anatomy and less to finding ways to fit tricky knobby parts in equally tricky slots or holes. But I'm still enthusiastic about this scorpion and the other organisms in this series because I'm unaware of products that made the anatomical aspect of biology more fun.

rev2 . This was requested by high school students for a project. They were able to understand it and do all the experiments without much teacher intervention.

Thames and Kosmos Alternative Energy and Environmental Science Hydropower Reviews
Great idea but problems with waterwheel . I used this kit for a classroom demonstration and it works great except for the longevity of the waterwheel. The wheel is made out of flimsy plastic which breaks into pieces after 20 or so uses. I ended up building a replacement wheel for the set which is working well for now.

Thames and Kosmos Alternative Energy and Environmental Science Hydropower Opinions
Flimsy and not what I anticipated . I purchased this for my very advanced scientifically minded 9 year old daughter and it was a disappointment. It's flimsy and needs an adult to help with the assembly. We're very science oriented so we thought this would be a lovely gift but it's poorly constructed and definitely overpriced. It won't last and I'm not sure she'll get much use out of it. My daughter definitely loved it so I guess it does well on that front.

Its will made but its no Lego. . I bought this for my son for his 10th birthday...thinking he would like it since he likes Lego. Boy was I wrong. He wasn't even excited and don't care to work on it. So I got a toy for me. I'm keeping it because he might have an interest later...

Hydropower Alternative Enery & Environmental Science . This is a great learning toy. It is also a great family time thing to do together with your child.

This review is from : Alex Let's Pretend to Play School
Good but a few flaws . I bought this for my 5 year old for Christmas. She loves it and plays with it all the time. I see 2 flaws. The bell that comes with it does not have a holder in the carrying case nor does it fit into the little pouch in the case. Also the clock only has 1 hand! That does not help.
I had a chance to compare the ALEX set with the Learning Resources pretend school set and noticed that the LR set does not have these same problems and the LR set includes both a world map and a US map.

Alex Let's Pretend to Play School Reviews
fun to pretend . My daughter age 5 loves her teacher set. I like that all the pieces (except the bell) have a storage space in the carrying case. My only concern is that many of the forms (attendance, report cards, etc)can be used only once. I plan on contacting Alex toys to see if you can buy refills.

Alex Let's Pretend to Play School Opinions
Great Toy for those Future Teachers! . My daughter loves playing school, so I thought this would be the perfect gift for my soon-to-be 7-year old. It's really cute. It has all the essentials a teacher needs to teach his/her classroom. It stores easily too... everything fits nicely in a carry case, which does not take up a lot of room. The only thing is what to do when all the papers and stickers run out? I'm an educator myself, and I know I can be creative to refill the items. But not everyone has that luxury. There needs to be refills to purchase.

Fun for your little teacher . This was the one thing our daughter asked Santa for after seeing it in an ad. My daughter says "It is lots of fun. I like the activity cards, the little bell, and the dry erase board." I would say this toy is a big success, especially if your kid likes to write on little papers!

This circuit building kit is not just easy to assemble -- it also has really great instructions and explanations of the science behind what is actually going on in each circuit that you build. More than just 70 circuit building activities, it's a whole introductory curriculum in electronics, without being too dense or too overwhelming.

This review is from : Famemaster 4D-Science Animal Cell Anatomy Model
Excellent for the price . Ok, this is my second try in leaving a review so I will be brief.
This model is made of durable materials, it is detalied and painted in vivid colors. The nucleus has a plexiglass window and all fits well so it can be assembled and displayed on its base. Has a nice translucid finish and the booklet explains briefly the functions of the parts. I recommend it for display, as a puzzle and as an educational model.

Poor Quality Toy . Toy did not fit together well at all. It was difficult to assemble and I eventually had to hold it together with rubberbands.

Cons Review

Some good some bad . I brought this model for my child in 4th grade, who is very interested in cells. The cell and the internal parts are by itself colorful, decently sized objects made of quality materials. But the transparent cover for the model is not designed right, and it takes much effort from an adult to put the cover on the model and shut it. The mounting is of poor quality and the model fell of the pedestal after a few days since the small beam that holds the heavy cell onto the pedestal got frayed at the edges. All this happened within a week of us having the model.

We used the model gently, in spite of which it is only partially usable now. I have mixed opinions about it, and I strongly believe that every component in a model should be of good quality, since you will be unable to assemble it and mount it, thanks to a couple of inferior parts.

Cellulariffic!! . Agree with everything the reviewer on Feb 2011 stated. The best thing about it is the ability to take out the individual parts and put them back in like a puzzle, which seems to aid in familiarization of the pieces and where they are located. The organelle pieces are made of somewhat hard plastic mounted in the soft plastic (cytoplasm) which seems for the most part to hold to the pieces well, except for a couple of peroxisome which seem to only stay when they are put in a specific designated spot for them. The colors are very good although I have become accustom to seeing mitochondria as green not red as they appear in the model. Definitely recommend. I will now be looking into purchasing other models manufactured by 4D Master.

This review is from : Discovery Kids Smart Animals Scanopedia
A Complete & Total WINNER!!!!! . 5 Stars all around! My 5 year old absolutely LOVES this toy! It is a hand-held talking animal encyclopedia, but that's not all. It can be "played with" in several ways, making it multi-demensional. First you can collect different animals (and it's not just a gimmick as they are very reasonably priced for what you get, and they come with alot!). They are actually physical animals which your child can collect, hold & scan. Each one unlocks 8 other animals which contain various quiz questions, facts, sound effects and more. Next you can use the handheld device without the animals as it is an encyclopedia & quiz-master all on its own. Then there's The Map! This is my only concern, that parents might mistake it for a piece of paper or just a poster and throw it away. Further, kids could just kneel on it and maybe tear it. This is one of the best & coolest parts of the trifecta! We put ours safe & sound up on the wall as an activity map and it is the center of attention. The map contains interactive icons of animals, habitats, locations and other facts which the scanopedia device recognizes. There are countless options on the map as well. So to sum it up, the handheld device contains hundreds of questions, there are tons of animals to collect and the map contains a boatload more of information, which means that there are literally thousands of combinations and possibilities for your child to learn, explore, discover and interact with, which means maximum replayability! Plus, my son has dropped and banged this thing countless times and it is very sturdy. The animals and information is interesting and the voice and performance is top notch, just what you'd expect from Discovery - fun, learning, quality! Again, my son absolutely LOVES this toy and literally plays with it every single day - no exaggeration! I love it too for making him so happy!!

Discovery Kids Smart Animals Scanopedia Reviews
Great? No way. Good... yes. But with a huge "but". . I'm sorry, I know others love this, and this concept is good and it does work okay but there are major problems:

1. you get a huge poster with hundreds of animals on it but the scanner only tells you about eight! I'm not kidding, the rest of the poster is just wasted space. To get the rest of the poster to work, you are FORCED to buy more animals! And they only unlock eight at a time! So to unlock the whole poster I think you have to buy 16 more posters. I'm amazed this hasn't been noted in any reviews.

2. the scanner has no volume control or off switch. It goes off by itself after sitting for five minutes with a loud sound effect. No off switch? Really? No volume? Amazing.

3. However, the scanner and concept do work, but you just have to be ready for the design flaws and forced to invest in many more animals.

Discovery Kids Smart Animals Scanopedia Opinions
Very Pleasantly Surprised . My three year old (who is, admittedly, already a little bit of a nerd- like Dad) Absolutely LOVES this thing. I was worried it was going to be over his head, but I posted the chart above his bed, and its the first thing we hear him doing in the morning. Its incredible to hear him using the proper terms for dinosaurs, learning the difference between carnivores/omnivores/herbivores, predator/prey, etc. And everything else it teaches. He plays with the chart more than the animals that we got to go with it! I highly recommend this toy.

Great for kids of all ages . My five year old son received this gift for Christmas. Just after a few minutes he was able to figure out how it works and by the end of the day was answering the quiz questions correctly. My 3 year old daughter even was able to use is easily and had fun scanning each animal.

Don't Let Your Kids Peel Off The Stickers! . The concept of this toy is very good, but why on earth Discovery decided to make the functionality depend on an easily peeled-off sticker on the animal to be scanned? It would make much more sense to have an RFID chip embedded in the animals instead of some sticker.

Another user pointed out the other faults with this toy such as no power or volume control, and a huge poster of animals you cannot scan unless you have purchased an animal that will unlock an animal group on the poster. Oh, yeah, the toy came with batteries that were dead.

Best toy ever for learning about animals . I can not believe this toy has been discontinued! I was looking forward to new animals. My 5 year old loves this toy and map. Better than that, I love it! It is interesting, easy to use, and educational. There are 10 facts about each animal (including habitat, diet, size) and then a quiz button that will ask yes or no questions about the information you learn. Each animal unlocks information on other animals on the map!! The map has different quiz games also. This is by far the best toy I have EVER purchased. It is a definite for any child who enjoys playing with animal figures!!

Great toy! . Purchased this toy for my grandson for Christmas and he loves it! He will spend hours checking out the animals and loves to get more sets.

What a great learning toy!!! . For all little ones out there that are fascinated by animals, this is the PERFECT toy!!! My 3 yr old son loves it, he hasn't put it down for a week now (he even sleeps with it!). He is learning so much about animals, their habitat, the types of food they eat, when & how long they lived, etc. This toys gives fun facts, asks true & false questions, and the animal poster that comes with it is a wealth of information!! My son LOVES this toy, I can't wait to get him some more animals to go with it!!!

Cons Review

Fun and educational!! . My 5 year old son picked this out with his birthday money and absolutely loves this. It is the perfect gift for any child who loves animals and dinosaurs. Fun games and quizzes and wonderful facts. All around a really great toy!!

Milestones in Science Kit Review . This kit contains numerous fun experiments you can perform yourself using common household items and some items you might find at your local hardware store. The kit features stories of how our early inventors discovered new and exciting ways to tap into the interesting world of science. This kit would be very useful to use even for science projects at school or just for the beginner inventor/scientist.

Thames & Kosmos Classic Science Milestones in Science Reviews
Great for the young scientist! . I bought this for my 12-year-old for Christmas. He's been having a ball with it, and learning a lot. My only complaint was that it didn't come with something to organize all the little pieces. But I noticed that ahead of time, and was prepared with a small tackle box for him to put everything in. So far, he's been able to do most of the projects with minimal assistance.

Thames & Kosmos Classic Science Milestones in Science Opinions
Nice colection . Haven't had too much time to look at it myself but the one I bought it for has spent enough time reading through the history and how to do the experiments that I know it is well liked. Definitely a good buy for the inquisitive young science student.

Expensive but packed with content . This was our son's "big gift"; he's a 7 yr old who wants to be a scientist when he grows up. Highly recommend purchasing a tackle box or some storage solution to store all of its small parts. While we realize most of the stuff you could cobble together yourself, for us, it was just easier to purchase a science kit with all the parts. I knew the science experiment materials would be made of cheap plastic (and they were), but I was expecting a hardcover, sturdy book for this price. Unfortunately the "manual" is a flimsy paperback (why I rate this product a 4). However, the content of the book is great - jus wish it were more durable. So far we've completed 4 experiments and they've been easy to follow with great discussion questions. It's a lot of fun and very educational (not in a boring way).
