Beautiful little globe. . This is a very well-made, sturdy, beautiful little globe. I really bought it just for decoration and reference, but it's actually really cool. My 5 year old nephew uses it every time he hears of a place he doesn't know. He looks for it and gets so excited when he finds it. It's really cool because it tilts in all directions. I really like the antique look of it too. This is a really great looking globe. And it just feels heavy and sturdy. You won't be disappointed.

Cute small globe. . Colors are great, looks really nice.
For reference, this is a VERY small globe. About the size of a large orange or small grapefruit.

Just What I Wanted! . I wanted a globe because I am so clueless as to where things are around the world in relation to each other. This is just what I was looking for, its small and goes great on my desk for easy access.

Replogle Globes 12/1 Wonder Globe, Antique Ocean, 11cm Diameter Opinions
delivered broken . I bought this as a gift for my 9 year old. When she opened it on xmas day, the stand was broken. I will only get a partial refund because I bought it in October when I was doing early xmas shopping. I should have inspected it by taking it out of the box. It's small but ideal for a kids' desk. Parents will need their reading glasses. Hoping super glue will fix the stand.

Just what I was looking for . Was looking for something, that wouldn't take up to much space. The writing could be a little larger. It serves the purpose I wanted.

Southern Hemisphere x 2 . I gave this as a gift for Christmas. Found out after the person took it home and opened it that both the bottom and the top of the globe was the Southern Hemisphere. So if you are wondering why our children do not know their geography, you have to look no farther than the globes being created. I have to say it does live up to it's name: "Wonder Globe" since I wonder what planet these folks live on since it is not earth.

not for kids . I got this for my kids so they could see how far away I was in afghanistan. It broke the first day.

Cons Review

It's Nice! . I bought this for a gift, they absolutely loved it! Seems to be well made, I would recommend buying this!

Retired . This is a nice, little globe, which features good color and art work. It is OK for locating countries, seas, and oceans, but remember it is small (only about 4" in diameter)so that detail beyond that is out of the question. It fits nicely on a table top as a quick reference tool.
The way it is mounted takes some getting used to, and I wish that it had a nicer base, but for the money, it is a good buy.

This review is from : Replogle Globes 12/1 Satellite Wonder Globe, 11cm Diameter
A very professional-looking beautiful globe. . This globe is exactly what I was looking for. It has a very modern feeling, has an appropriate weight for its size, and its ability to rotate in several directions is amazing. Overall, it gives an impression of excellent quality and elegant beauty.

A fun globe . This globe is easy to turn to see all of the world, but it is VERY small. It is a good globe if you are looking for something small.

Replogle Globes 12/1 Satellite Wonder Globe, 11cm Diameter Reviews
Good starter globe . This globe is quite small, but it's perfect for my almost 5 year old daughter, who is studying the 7 continents at preschool. It turns in all directions, and I like that the oceans are blue and the land is green/brown. It's a good mini globe for the price.

Replogle Globes 12/1 Satellite Wonder Globe, 11cm Diameter Opinions
Wow... this IS small. . I read a review before purchasing this globe lamenting that it was smaller than expected, but I must say that, even while expecting it to be smaller than expected, it was still even smaller than that expectation. It's only slightly bigger than a soft ball. With that aside, I like that this globe can turn in so many different directions, allowing for easy viewing of all sides (even Antarctica!)However, the design allows the hemispheres to move so that they are not in line with each other, if the globe is turned while holding onto the globe, rather than the stand.

Way Beyond Expectation . This little globe is durable, rotates in all directions, and has enough detail to look like more than a toy. I was more than a little impressed. It is one of those small pleasures that exceed expectations.

It's for learning not spinning! . I bought this for my preschooler, to give him a better idea of the shape of the earth and location of the continents. It also helps me demonstrate how day and night occur. While the mapping is not political (no borders are drawn), countries are labeled. The globe is tiny, but for the purposes that I listed above, it does the job at a very reasonable price. As for the spinning thing: The globe is mounted unconventionally. (I mean, compared to your run-of-the-mill school globe.) The stand attaches to a ring that spans the equator. The northern- and southern hemispheres somehow attach to this ring, and they rotate in unison about the north-south axis as usual. However, the globe spins more freely on the stand-equator attachment. (North pole and south pole flip over.) On the N-S axis, the globe doesn't spin freely at all. What I'm saying is that you, or your child, rather, will not experience the joy of spinning the "earth" as you did, way back when!I'm still thinking of buying a traditionally-styled school globe, like the Replogle Globes Traveler Globe, 12-Inch, Blue.

Best Adventurer Globe Info

Adventurer Globe Info - Inspire a love of geography that will last a lifetime. The Adventurer Globe puts the whole world right at your child's fingertips for hours of hands-on learning. Vivid colors and markings make it easy for kids to find different locations. Includes a durable plastic base. Measures 12" in diameter.

Disappointing! . This globe broke within 48 hours of delivery. The bracket that holds the globe to the base it not substantial enough. Don't waste your money!!

This review is from : Adventurer Globe
Save Your Money . My kids are pretty gentle but this globe broke within a matter of days. The base cracked and then the globe split apart at the seam. I guess this would be an OK globe for decorative purposes but definitely not a 'hands on' product for kids.

Globe . I bought this for the classroom, its allright, but the stand is pretty cheap.
I've seen better from this company.

Adventurer Globe Reviews
not a perfect mom . I bought this for my 9year old for christmas. He loved it. He would always ask where is this country and where is that country. Now he can look and find it himself and discover new countries along the way.

Adventurer Globe Opinions
My nephew loved it! . This globe was a hit at the holidays. Everyone loved looking up spots around the world. My 4th grade nephew was thrilled and it is a good quality globe for elementary school aged children.

Good deal for the price . We bought two of these for our sons for Christmas. We have only had them for 2 weeks but they really like them and it seems like a good quality product. It was at the lower end of the price scale. I was not able to find any at the local stores where we live. I would definitely recommend it.

nice looking . I bought this for my two children 2 and 5. My 5 year old loves it and constantly is looking at it. It's very bright and colorful. I love it because it's very kid friendly. It's easy to locate places. The stand isn't very sturdy so that's why I only gave it 4 stars, but, I think I would still buy again because I think it's great for teaching kids about the world...and it was honestly the best looking one I could find out there.

Lovely globe - in the wrong language . Loved the globe; however, gave it for a Christmas present & that's when I realized it was in Spanish. There was nothing in the description nor in the ordering process which said it was in another language so unfortunately had to return it.

Cons Review

Adventurer Globe . Perfect transaction. Shipped in a timely manner and item as described. Bought for my 9 yr old Grandson who is now showing me where the Countries are. Love the raised mountains. Nice colors and easy to read. Better than the one in his classroom. Reasonable price and would reccommend to everyone.

Nice product . The item was as described. I think this is a great starter globe for elementary aged students.
Very easy to handle and the price makes it very attractive for younger children to learn about a globe.

Explorer Globe from Amazon . My husband asked for a World globe for Christmas. I started looking on the internet to learn about globes and found there were a vast array of globes with many prices according to the product. I looked at Amazon and went through the various globes offered there, especially, the reviews and ratings of the different globes. I chose the Explorer Globe because it was what I was looking for - a basic learning globe with the simple qualities I thought a person would want in a globe that was for educating himself to World geography. The price was right and it had raised relief with easy to read lettering. It also came with a sturdy stand. I also liked the advice that this globe could be returned for an updated globe in the future. When I received the globe is was what I expected. I would recommend this globe to anyone who wants a good basic globe without all the frills that drive costs up. My husband was thrilled!

Great for learning . I bought this as a gift for my 7 year old. I have to say that it was a great idea. He has been looking at in and recognizing
Different countries. It's great for learning and easy to read. The stand is very stable. I would recommend this to anyone.

Excellent customer service . This globe is a perfect learning tool for children. My grandchildren were so happy to receive it as a gift. The customer service from the company was amazing! I would order from them again
RS

wonderful piece . I bought this globe for my 5-year-old son. It is time for him to know the world around him.
This globe is almost perfect as educational tool, even you could feel the mountains.
Just one issue bothers me: its weight. Just 5 lbs, maybe a little light, too easy to fall off the table when you have younger kid around.

Nice globe for education needs . I bought this globe for our children's homeschooling and we have already used it alot. The colors and quality of the mapping is great. The stand is a bit unsturdy, but overall it is still a good value for the price.

Love it . I have always wanted to own a globe and I am very satisfied with this one. It is exactly as I expected it to be and more. My family will benefit greatly from this purchase.

This review is from : Wonder Globe 4.3" Blue/Silver Metallic World Globe
Cute and small but too small . Durable and nice. WOrks better as art than a toy --- you can't read anything on it, and the seal between the halves, wasn't perfect so the country lines don't match.

Cute Little Thing . I needed it for a college class. The fact that the college itself is requiring it says enough. Great tool for learning!!!!

Cons Review

Looks nice but image as of June 2011 is misleading . My big complaint is that the image shown for this item leads you to believe that the continents, etc... are easy to see. I should have payed more attention to the other reviewer, but I thought they meant that the lettering was too small. The reality is that the contrast on the Blue/Metallic globe is very poor and it's a struggle to read anything on it without holding it just right for the area you want to examine.

Best Replogle Globes Inflatable Political Globe, Light Blue Ocean, 16-Inch Diameter Info

Price : $8.49

These unique inflatable globes are fun to play with and a great way to learn about the world we live in.

This review is from : Replogle Globes Inflatable Political Globe, Light Blue Ocean, 16-Inch Diameter
Globe construction a little careless . The globe is constructed by gluing together six 60-degree longitude sectors. Although the material appears to be durable, care was not exercised to ensure that the sectors aligned properly. Consequently, as you rotate the globe you become aware of 1 or 2 degrees of shift in latitude at some seams. Obviously, not a problem for casual use but attention to detail could have been better. On the positive side, order processing and shipping were extremely prompt.

Replogle Globes Inflatable Political Globe, Light Blue Ocean, 16-Inch Diameter Reviews
Works well for my five-year-old . My son likes it! He uses it to practice dribbling (without looking at the ball like the NBA / NCAA stars on TV). Kidding aside, I also get to ask him about the locations of various geographical entities - continents through specific towns. He enjoys playing "What's the capital of <country>"?

From my perspective, it's also improving his reading - He can quickly identify syllables corresponding to a spoken word - like the name of a country or city. Spelling's also improved as a result. The size of the ball is perfect for his playing needs. It does lose air every few days, but it's quite easy to blow it back up due to the fairly effective one-way nozzle. The print is quite clear. Most of all, it makes me appreciate just how BIG the Pacific Ocean is!

Replogle Globes Inflatable Political Globe, Light Blue Ocean, 16-Inch Diameter Opinions
Good buy . This is a great globe. It is an excellent learning tool.
It is down right practical, too.
It can be hung from the ceiling (for learning, or for storage).
It takes a lot of punishment so kids can learn "hands on".
If younger siblings get ahold of this, they can't break it or its stand like with the table top globes.
It is a good investment.

Fun but country names hard to read . My twenty-something son, who admittedly knows little about geography, was delighted to get this as a fun present. Now when we are talking about current events, we can refer to it instead of looking at each other blankly and saying, "Where exactly is Libya?" A globe is so much better at representing where countries are in relation to each other and how far away they are from us. (In Alaska, EVERYTHING is far away from us.) And a blow-up is perfect for someone who doesn't have a nice formal library with a grand piano for a big fancy globe to sit on. My only complaint is the city names jump out at you, because they are in black, but the more important country names are hard to see because they are written in different colors.

Large Globe . It was exactly as described and as expected but in retrospect, I should have gone for the 12 inch globe. This one takes quite a bit of breath to inflate.

This review is from : Replogle Globes Landen Globe, Antique Ocean, 16-Inch Diameter World Globe
Good Looking Floor Standing Globe . The stand for this globe is very sturdy (and heavy) so if you plan on moving it around often then this probably isn't for you. But I love the look of this globe and stand over the other floor modes. Also there is quite a size difference between the 12 inch and 16inch. It is large, but so much easier to read and see the countries. I think the price was very fair in comparison to other models, but I think this may be a discontinued product because replogle does not have this one listed with their current globes. This also arrived extremely fast. Hubby loves his anniversary gift and just sits and looks at it!

Replogle Globes Landen Globe, Antique Ocean, 16-Inch Diameter World Globe Reviews
Great looking Globe . I am very pleased with this globe. It is pretty heavy and seems very sturdy and stable. It is big enough to see a lot of detail. There is a huge difference over the 12 inch globe it replaced and I am glad I got it. I use it a lot when reading historical novels. Sometimes I sit and stare at it.

It was well packed and was almost a struggle to get through all of the packing material.

The Landen stand doesn't appear on the Replogle web site anymore although this antique ocean 16 inch globe is available with other stands. Doing a quick web search I do see it on other globe web sites though - so stock is available as of June 2011.

This review is from : Replogle 12" Intelliglobe
Great Globe - Albeit Easily Broken . We ordered an intelliglobe as a Christmas (2010) gift for our kindergartener who has become interested in geography thanks to some classic British beginning readers (Around the World with Ant & Bee).

The globe arrived with the north pole axis popped out, but it was not too hard to pop it back into the cardboard globe and all was good. The toy has been a big hit, and while it is clearly meant for older children given the level of information provided, my young son and his younger sister love the "Continent game" and has moved on to harder challenges like cities and countries.

My wife, an elementary school teacher, would also highly recommend this globe for classrooms as well as being a great learning toy for home.

HOWEVER, one small warning, it is NOT VERY DURABLE in the hands of young children. We stored it on top of a short (table-height) book shelf and after only a couple of accidental (gentle) falls onto the carpeted floor, it is now broken at the posts that connect the main longitudinal ring around the globe to the base. Both of the "push-in" posts have now broken and the globe canno longer be held in the base. (one of these posts broke off in the base and we have not been able to dig the broken piece out -- yet!)

I contacted the manufacturer (Replogle) and got an e-mail back after a couple days that they do not sell those parts separately from the globe. Rather than being able to buy just the longitudinal plastic ring, they can only offer the whole globe for half (or more) of the cost of the whole product.

So, parents of young geography lovers, be warned. This globe is not built to be a "toy" that can sustain even an accidental fall of just 3' onto carpet, and the individual parts are not readily available for inexpensive repair. The plastic parts at the connection points seem to break much easier than I anticipated and has rendered the toy unusable.

We are still deciding on whether to fix this globe or not, given the cost and waste of parts that are not broken.

Replogle 12" Intelliglobe Reviews
Fantastic educational toy . Our son is 11 and has not been very interested in geography or using globes and my attempts to get him interested have failed miserably. The day the Intelliglobe arrived my son was so excited about its arrival that he was literally playing with the globe as I was trying to get it out of the packing box. As soon as he got the globe out of the box he disappeared into his bedroom and stayed there playing with it for almost two hours. He loves this globe so much that I find him using it almost every day. He begs me to let him use this for his geography lesson instead of his usual curriculum. Each time a friend comes over he shows them his globe and they play with it for quite a while.

I am really impressed with all of the information that this globe contains, and the variety of subjects that it teaches. I have told several of my friends about this item and they are looking into purchasing the globe for their family.

Replogle 12" Intelliglobe Opinions
Cheaply made batteries wear out VERY quickly marketing spiel at startup . Like the title says (and one other commentor has mentioned) this is a cheaply made item. I am dismayed at what poor quality $100 US will buy these days. What I liked:
- educational.What I didn't like:
- cheap
- the MOST annoying thing about this, is that when you turn the pen on, it repeats a marketing/sales spiel EVERY 'freakin' time. For some reason I can't get past this "invasion" into my home.

Good Idea but Obvious Flaws! . Great idea but there are problems. First, you've to hit the pen on exactly the right mark in order to get credit for the answers. I was on the correct country at times and it still marked it wrong in the trivia section. Most importantly Replogle's customer service is awful. They don't answer a phone, the voicemails are always full and when you speak with someone they're clueless and rude-all in all a bad combination for such an expensive globe! Also, they do not give you the answers to the trivia. They say to Google the answers so you can learn them youself-seriously? What learning is there in spending hours Googling answers, other than the fact that the company is too cheap to put the answers on their Website so you could help out your child! Good idea just wish it wasn't from such as lousy and cheap company!

The best gift for Christmas ! . My son 5 1/2 got this one from Santa. It was a hit! Now he have an idea about continents, countries, oceans. When daddy is in a business trip he can point where is daddy, where did he go. He likes to plan next in vacations. And also he likes to listen to the national anthem of each state. The book with flags, the story about the missions to space.
It is one of the best educational toys we got for him.

Geography lesson anyone? . We purchased this globe for our son on his 4th birthday. He is a bit young for the fragility of the pen....we are already on our second pen and have created a new rule about accessing the pen to play with the globe. The company replaced the pen for us since it stopped working after one week and one drop to the floor. That said, this toy is awesome! There are so many cool features. My husband and I like the 'find countries' game.....we are still working up to the 'find cities' game as our geography skills are being improved. The kids like the music function best right now. Just today, our son asked about Rio and we were able to show him on the globe where it is.

Intelliglobe . I bought this item for my grandson for his 4th birthday. He was fascinated with the globe and wanted to explore all the things he could do with it. He appeared to be able to utilize all the functions even though he is under the recommended age level. I recommend this educational device. I can't talk much about reliability as he has only had it for less than a week but so far so good.

Packaged poorly but works . this was packaged poorly, it rattled when we received it. We opened it up and it works. Will be a great christmas present. We had fun with it.

globe review . This globe is fun for our kids and my husband and I. It is not the most educational of all toys. When you play the games it has a tendancy to ask the same quesitons over and over. It is addicting. You can't seem to stop playing.

Cons Review

Great way to learn geography! . Our two kids, aged 11 and 7, love this toy. "Find the country" is easy enough for the kids to play, and some of the other games are challenging enough for those of us adults who think we are pretty well educated (turns out there is a LOT we don't know about the world!!!) The topics of interest are well varied; it's fun to hear the local music and national anthems of all the different countries, for example... Orion Globe

Price : $99.99

Orion Globe - Constellation on earth. The black-ocean globe may have a heavenly appearance, but it shows the earth s expanse. The Orion s 12" sphere and antique pewter finished, solid steel base, and die cast semi-meridian make it perfect for any desktop. And just as Orion blazes in the night sky, this Orion lights at the touch of a button-a perfect feature to set a nighttime mood for a unique viewing experience.

Diameter: 12" (30 cm)
Height: 17" (43 cm)
Weight: 4.6 lbs. (2.1 kg)

PROCEED WITH CAUTION . I am very sorry to write this negative review, but wish someone had, before I bought this globe. I have one, a Replogle 12" black background world globe, which I bought at an Antiques store. I LOVE it. I wanted this one, which appears to be identical (except for updating, of course) and is illuminated. So far, so good. However, much to my dismay, this globe does not 'tilt' on it's axis! Who wants a world globe that you can't tip and tilt and explore? I don't. For $85.00 I think they should include the extra 'tilt' bar! If not, I think they should state that in the description. I am editing this review because I don't want to be too harsh on the seller. He explained, (after a bad rating) why the globe does not have the 'rotating' function. It was MY mistake, in not doing more 'research' on Illuminated globes, I guess, but I still feel it should be mentioned in the description; especially given the cost of return shipping, and restocking fee. As the seller admitted, not everyone knows all about Globes, as he does. This Globe barely left the box before I saw my mistake; and it cost me apx. $30. that's a pricey mistake.
So, if you don't know about this, do some research!

Exceeded expectations... and I have six illuminated globes and none of them "Tilt.." . On the shelf above my desk hooked up to a foot switch I seven illuminated globes. Two illuminated constellation globes, Uncle Milton's "Moon in my room" with the guts ripped out and replaced with mini LEDs hanging on the wall, a medium sized antique-look globe, a five-inch blue physical relief globe, and now this globe. All but the five inch models run on LEDs so they pull under 10 watts total by the way. To modify this one for LED I had to find the smallest LED I could and shave a tiny bit off the edges of the bottom with a pocketknife by the way, but I'm trying really hard to stay on Al Gore's good graces and LEDs use less than half the juice of even CFLs.

This globe is the nicest of my collection by far, and the most unique globe I've ever seen. Almost the size of a beach ball, so there's room for all kinds of details on the globe, including stuff like prevailing ocean currents. It even comes with a booklet explaining longitude and latitude and such. Looks great in the dark. Of my three full sized illuminated globes (three are only five inches, the other two about eight inches), none of them have a tilt feature. They're positioned on the earth's standard axis, but no tilt and I think the wiring running through the base would preclude that option, so looking over what's currently the only other review I figured I'd add in yet another two cents on the point.

Looking over my reviews, someone left a comment describing the globe they received as paper that doesn't match evenly at the equator. Uneven quality or some other explanation springs to mind as an explanation, but looking at my globe closely it's unusual that the equator isn't covered by a band or tape layer like my other globes, though from any distance the slight gap looks just like an equatorial line. Looking over the whole globe closely my two printed hemispheres do meet precisely on each side of the equator.

27 Inflatable World Globe - Political Mapping

Price : $28.99

27 Inflatable World Globe - Political Mapping - The Inflatable Light Blue Ocean Political World Globe by Replogle is both colorful and resilient. Kids love this world globe, and it features geopolitical boundaries and hundreds of place names making it both fun and educational.

This review is from : 27" Inflatable World Globe - Political Mapping
disappointed . I was disappointed in the lack of detail for such a large globe. If you want this for purely decorative purposes, it would suffice, but it is so big I doubt it would work for that. I think it would be better for educational purposes if it hung vertically instead of at a tilt. I realize that the earth is tilted but in an inflatable globe that hangs it needs to spin around vertically for better visibility.

27" Inflatable World Globe - Political Mapping Reviews
Huge!! . I bought this globe as a substitute for a world map on the wall. It's a great globe for the price. But, in case anyone has spatial reasoning issues like me, be forewarned--a 27" globe is freaking huge!

27" Inflatable World Globe - Political Mapping Opinions
Great educational Toy . we have family all over and made this purchase to help our 2 year old "see" where everyone lived. As he gets older it will be better for the educational purposes but we have been happy with how it has held up in the pool, in the yard, and in the playroom too.

Cons Review

Globe for anyone! . Bought it for my girlfriend who loves traveling and my 3 yr old nephew. Able to hang it from the ceiling or just let it roll around the play room. Comes with a patch but haven't had to use it yet. We have followed the directions not to over inflate and haven't had any problems yet.

Best Replogle Globes Quincy Globe, Antique Ocean, 9-Inch Diameter Info

Price : $50.00

A solid hardwood base and die-cast semi-meridian provide the setting for this beautiful 9-inch diameter raised-relief globe.

globe . Good quality and colors matched picture.Mailed promptly and packaged well. Although dimensions were specified, it was much smaller than expected

This review is from : Replogle Globes Quincy Globe, Antique Ocean, 9-Inch Diameter
Nice size and color . I wanted a new globe that would easily fit on a book shelf. This one is a bit smaller than a standard student globe, so it fits perfectly. The wood base and antique appearance are attractive. My only complaint is that the gold parts that hold the globe are made of plastic, not metal, so it might not hold up under rough use.

Replogle Globes Quincy Globe, Antique Ocean, 9-Inch Diameter Reviews
Inspire Dreams of Travel . This was a Christrmas gift for my 18 year old neice who loves traveling. She loved the antigue look of the globe and the wooden. It fits with decor of her room much better than a blue oceaned globe.

Where To Buy Trekker Globe

Price : $39.99

Trekker Globe - Inspire a love of geography that will last a lifetime. The Trekker Globe puts the whole world right at your child's fingertips for hours of hands-on learning. Globe features colored countries and continents, blue oceans, and a black plastic base. Measures 6" in diameter.

Small in size but "fits the bill" . The globe is small compared to most globes. Didn't measure it but it is only about a foot in height and less than a foot in width (considerably smaller than most globes I have seen). I didn't realize the size was going to be small when I purchased it (probably my lack of reading the details). However, it is a perfect size for us. We really didn't need a big globe anyway. So I was actually ecstatic that it was small! This way we have more table space. Also, it has all the info on it that we need (just like other globes). Very happy with the product. (We bought this for a 5 year old whom has shown interest/fascination with globes for the past two years.)

The Perfect Size . I homeschool 4 children and already have so much school "stuff" that I needed a globe that wouldn't take up much room. I was a little worried that the small size would make it difficult to read or see detail but when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised! The names are bold and very readable and the detail is all there. It was a smart purchase.

Good for the price . For $12.99 (shipping included), you get a pretty decent world globe. It only measures 6" in diameter but it has all the information one would need.

Great value. . I have to agree with some other reviews that this globe may not be the most sturdy ever made, but for what it costs vs. what you get it is excellent. Do not be put off by people who say it falls apart. We found it more than durable and did not have any problems with it at all. If you are looking for an illuminated globe that is not expensive, this might be the way for you to go.

Smaller than I thought . The globe was a present for my nephew. I had it shipped to him. I was a little disappointed when my sister told me that it was small enough to fit into his backpack and that they really had to squint to see all the locations on it. I'll have to go and get him another one, larger this time. Probably best for decoration on a desk but not necessarily for a child who needs to study.

Carrie S. . I am very pleased with this product. It is a reasonable size (doesn't consume a desk or shelf) and yet is clearly legible. My children (ages 4 & 7) refer to it all the time when we watch t.v. and there are weather clips or weather stories. I would recommend this globe!

Cons Review

Trekker Globe evaluation . Absolutely not worth the cost! It is so small we can't decipher the countries and other geographical features, so it is useless to our grandchildren. We wasted our money on this item.

trekker globe . Although the globes are easy to "read" in terms of detail I was very disappointed in their size. I had assumed they would be larger but instead their diameter is about 5 inches. Be careful of size if you're ordering this product.

Trekker Globe . I was disappointed with this globe. It is small and not worth the price I paid. I would never order from them again. If I knew it was that small I would have gone to Toys R Us and got one twice the size for the same price.

WAY TOO SMALL . I thought it would be larger. Way too small and can't hardly see anything on the globe. If I knew it was this small, I wouldn't have purchased it.
