Love the guide book! . Bought this for an Easter present for my twin boys when they were 3yrs old, now they are 5 and still love it. They have not been old enough to follow the directions to identify bugs yet, perhaps this Spring - but the little wire bound book which comes with it is great! We've spent lots of time reading and looking at the different bugs, they even know which ones are dangerous!

Fun and learning together. . I had no idea they made something like this until I came accross it on Amazon one day. I was already ordering from the Discover store sellar so I added it on to get free shipping for my order. I put it in my 7 year olds stocking for christmas. She loves bugs and exploring. It is really neat how it works. Asks you a range of questions until it narrows down the creature and gives you an answer. It is pretty accurate and the times it wasn't was more user error then the toy. It is very educational, but fun at the same time. A good mix. We live in the mountains so we havn't got to practice on real creatures yet, but once spring comes I know it will be great. It is a little hard to hear the voice talking in a room with others chattering. There is no volume control, but the speaker is on the bottom of the handle so we just get close to that. Once outside it should be a little easier to hear also.

can't tell you yet... . I have heard that this is an imaginative toy, so we ordered it for our son's birthday. Only to receive it a month late!! So on one hand we were short a gift for his birthday that he could have enjoyed in the warmer weather, but on the other hand we have his first Christmas present for him. I really hope its cool, because I am sure we will be past the return date by Christmas rolls around...

Very Cool Butterfly Habitat . This habitat is perfect for raising butterflies. It comes as a single piece that pops up and stays rigid, and is perfect for viewing the maturing of the butterflies. The habitat also arrived with a dropper. I bought this for my son's preschool and I anticipate they will love it.

One thing to be aware of, and that I didn't completely understand from the description for this product, is you need to order the larvae separately. The butterfly habitat arrived containing no information about doing this, you just have to go yourself and place the order for the larvae. I had to contact the seller to obtain this information. They referred me to Amazon product number B002C3R182.

Overall, well worth the money and it will be great for the kids.

Great product will buy again and again! . I love this money jar. I bought it for my daughter who is 4 and learning about money. It has a very easy to read screen, she has no problems pushing the money in and its see through so she can watch her money fill up in the jar. And its pink, perfect for a girl!! It seems pretty durable, its been rolled around the house by the younger siblings a few times and has not broken, its also really easy to reset if needed. This is actually the second one we have bought, we also bought a green one for our son and our daughter wanted one just like his so thats why we bought this one. Its just a great product and we will end up buying 2 more for our other children once they are at the age to learn about money.

Discovery Digital Money Jar - Pink . My 6 year old daughter received this for Christmas and it doesn't correctly count the coins. It seems to be confusing dimes for pennies.

She also got a ceramic piggy bank for xmas and she seems to enjoy that more anyway.

Very disappointing . The jar and lid itself is great. It's very simple yet attractive. That's about where the good qualities end I'm afraid. It didn't matter how light or forceful you inserted a coin, it would register 10 cents when entering pennies half the time. Or if you put in a nickel, it would say you inserted 2 of them. It didn't matter what we did or didn't do, it just kept registering wrong. After resetting it 3 or 4 times and it still not working right, I've decided we will just return it and not drive ourselves crazy anymore with it. It's just not worth the frustration, especially for a young child.

Amazing Bank . My son got one of these as a gift, and I liked it so much I ordered one for my daughter. It helps children learn the value of money; and how to save. My son saved enough to buy his own DSI. Now my daughter is working toward that goal. Love it!!

fun for all ages . I brought this for my 5yr old granddaugther, to teach her to save but also learn to count money she enjoys getting coins so she can put them in her bank,and also knows how much she has each time she adds more coins.It is such a great teaching tool for young kids also brought one for my 85 yr old father who use to have to count his pocket full of change this is a fantastic product.

A Digital Piggy Bank How Cool Is That? . The only problem with this item is that I cannot get my daughter to stop opening up the bank and re-inserting the money without resetting the counter. The bank now says that she has like $538 dollars, and it is barely 1/4 full of spare change pilfered from my change cup.

Very very nice . For such a "simple" looking "lab" and for something that is so easy to put together, it is amazing all the projects one can do to demonstrate concepts. We got it two years ago for Christmas but for some reason did not do much with it, but this year my 8 y/o granddaughter and I get it out on a regular basis: circuits for sound effects; lights; and alarms. It only takes two AA batteries and something tells me the batteries will last a long, long time.I highly recommend this for children at least 8 years of age to introduce them to electricity. By the way, it will complement their science lessons at school. I was quite surprised how inexpensive this set was. It was a gift, but I am considering get a second set for even more projects.

Microscope . I expected better quality. This was a Christmas gift for a six year old and when unwrapped it was the perfect gift for this child until we inserted the batteries and found that the battery housing would not stay closed, which meant the microscope would not operate as it should. Good toy . We got this as a companion to the Spark telescope, which is great. This is also a very good toy, with very good images and information. There is no built in storage for the slides, however, which makes it a bit cumbersome, and the sound is not quite as good as the telescope.

Spark Talking Microscope . This is a nice little microscope for children just beginning to understand the parts of bugs and insects. My daughter, who is five, enjoys changing out the slides to view different insects, but gets kind of grossed-out over a few of the slides and has put them aside. Because of this, she's become a little bored with this toy. It's too bad that there aren't additional slides to purchase that displayed more than just the traditional spiders and flies, such as: butterflies, dragonflies, fireflies, ladybugs...you know, the "girly" ones! For those of you with bonafide bug-loving children though, this little microscope will definitely hold their attention....The microscope has some interesting facts (though the monotonous voice does get tiresome) and the slides are very durable and come in a nice case.

the crazy fun Joebot . This new Wow Wee Robot is the 1st attempt by Wow Wee to use voice command that works about 60% of the time but the "Finger" switches work good for the things Joebot can do . Joebot is made to walk on hard surfaces and really doesn't move well on carpets . This robot reminds me of my Rex The Dawg from Wow Wee. I would say that Joebot is worth about $70 tops new and is enjoyable to me an old geek :)

Love at first sight! . My 5 year old son recieved this as a gift at Christmas and has loved all the crazy things that this robot does. He loves clapping out beats to which Joebot mimics perfectly. He love "shooting" back at Joebot with our tv remote when the robot is in battle-mode. We laugh ourselves silly with the funny things Joebot says and does. He's quite entertaining and my 2 year old son even plays with him on a regular basis.

Joebot is quite durable (He's been dropped many times -to which tells us, "If I didn't need you for batteries, I'd be so out of here!") and still functions properly. Our only 2 hang-ups with Joebot is that he needs to move on a hard, flat surface (no carpet) and that he doesn't hear voice command prompts very well. I'm just glad that you can squeeze his hands to get him to do what you want as a back-up when he doesn't seem to hear what you want.

I can't say I would've paid full price for what Joebot does, but since he was a gift we love him. Like I said before, he's played with on a regular basis. It's now June and we just barely replaced his batteries.

Gets kind of old fast but he can do a bunch of stuff I like that he can sense movement with his infer red technology and you can play laser tag with him using a TV remote or other Jobot too. Very interactive . Purchased this for my son. It is very interactive and he loves it. Make sure you speak to it like the manual says and speak loud and clear with no background noise. He plays with it everyday.

Love it! . WowWee! Finally a robot that doesn't need a remote! Had a great time with this robot on Christmas putting it through the paces. It listens to commands well, is very interactive and can be programmed as well. The built-in game is enjoyable too. My kids are addicted (and I have to admit I am too). Highly recommended.

Fun! . Joebot is fun. He's a toy. He's just supposed to be fun, not a perfect adult-style robot. I don't understand why people are complaining about him at all. Those people just need to relax and have FUN. The whole point of a robot like this is just to play with it.

At first his inputs were confusing because there is no remote control, but his controls are all in his hands and fingers, so all you have to do is touch him and he'll react to you, plus he also has a voice recognition feature that is fun to play with.

My whole family likes to play with Joebot.

Wonderful Toy for my son!! . Just have to say I love this robot! It will be a Christmas gift for my 5 year old. He has wanted one of these for a while. I think these are great for someone his age that has a hard time dealing with remote controls. You do have to speak clearly for voice recognition. But still the voice sensor works. However, if your child like mine doesn't speak very clearly yet you still have one button push to activate him on the end of his hands. Says alot of cute things and does a little more than some of the other robots wowwee made in the past. Just worried about how durable he will be with my son though. But its all worth it for him. Only thing he wants this year from Santa.:) I liked that this was fullfilled by amazon , so I knew they had it on the warehouse shelf and it would be shipped fast and packed well. I will come back on after my son plays with him some on Christmas and let you know how durable he really is with the little ones. Only other thing I could say is he definetly walks better on a flat floor like you would have in the kitchen (not well on carpet). Other than that I just love him for smaller children. He is definetly a childs toy but not too bad for us adults to like him too. :)

Joebot a Joy-Bot . My children love JoeBot. They dance with him and tell him what to do. A robot is a toy my son has wanted since he had a chance to play with a Robosapien V2 that his cousin has. This one takes voice commands which makes it easier to use than the Robosapien. Very good for children younger than the 8+ age. My children are 3 and 5 and it's easy for them to play with it. Simple, easy to use and the children like it. Hard to beat that. And the price is very good for a robot like this.
