Cons Review

Pretty but lock broke . The diary came securely packaged and everything was intact. The diary and the lock are very pretty and the paper feels durable. However, the lock broke within 4-5 lock/unlock attempts. I tried to get it back together, but no luck. I wish I had read the other reviews for the same diary/company but different design. Almost all of them said the lock is cheap and breaks easily. Don't buy this if you have a problem going out and picking up a luggage lock instead.

Super Cute Kit... . I picked this up on a whim for our daughter for Christmas. It's cute as a button and the box is a nice quality. The animals are super cute and a little funky. The colors are vivid and fun. Our daughter was pleased and added a few other of her items in the box. The product dimensions for this kit are not listed correctly. I'm not sure of the actual size of the box but I'd say it's approximately 9-10 in height and width. The dimensions shown must be for the diary that comes in the box.

Pretty diary but cheap lock . My daughter received this item for Christmas and LOVED it! It is very pretty, with a glittery fairy on the front; however, my daughter only used the lock twice and it already broke, and the lock is one of the most important parts to her because she has a little sister. Hopefully a replacement lock or entirely new diary will be sent to us asap so my daughter can keep on writing in her beautiful fairy diary!

Beautiful Diary . This diary is very girly and pretty. It is small and compact with blank pages to fill. It is adorable and would best suit an older girl who can write small and would need many pages.

Perfect stocking stuffer for little girls who love to write . I got this as a stocking stuffer for my first grader who loves to write. She is always making up short stories about fairies and what not, and finds my journal-writing fascinating, so I thought she'd like to have a little journal of her own to get started. This cute set is perfect for young girls. I tore open the packaging as I'm just going to stuff the pieces into her stocking, and the individual pieces are really quite nice.There's a the spiral-bound pink journal with a princess carriage on the front with the word "Princess" embossed, together with the images of a princess gown, slippers, and purse. On the back, there's pictures of a chandelier, castle, and wand. The pages of the journal are in pink (not ruled). There are two sticker sheets, one featuring letters, and the other princess-related images, perfect for decorating and personalizing the journal. There's also a pen with four colors - blue,black, green, and red. Lastly there are some die-cuts which can also be used as bookmarks.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! . I bought this diary for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas. My older child had received a diary for her birthday only weeks before and my 5 year old wanted one bad after that! This was a great purchase. It is well made, very attractive and has many more pages than most youth diaries. The lock is very sturdy; not like the one my older child has that slips off without the key. I got way more than I expected for my money. Very satisfied!

Key does not work with Lock . The key does not work for the lock. It is simply there for decoration. Needless to say, my 7 y/o niece is still thrilled by it.

Adorable but broken lock was a deal-breaker . Very cute little journal, but the lock is total junk. My 7 year old ONLY wanted a diary with a lock she could manage herself, and this one had her in tears within minutes after we opened the box -- she just couldn't get it to work. I was finally able to do it, but it took a bunch of tries and a lot of effort, and I expected it to break if we had to keep forcing it like that.

We've returned it and replaced it with a different journal that has a separate lock, one that feeds through loops on the book. That lock isn't great, but at least if it breaks I can replace it with a small luggage lock. If your daughter is all about the lock (as is mine), I highly recommend going straight for one of the separate-lock models.

Princess Diary . We bought this product as a birthday gift for our 9 year old. I was very pleased with the Princess Diary. My order came on time as promised and the Diary was wrapped perfectly to avoid damage. The Princess Diary is of excellent quality. I really nice diary to look at but the lock is not made well . I got 2 of these diaries for my girls this christmas. they loved them! On Christmas Day, both of the locks broke. I had to get small luggage locks for them.

Beautiful Diary Weak Lock . This diary is beautiful but the lock broke after just a few times of opening it. So I bought my granddaughter a small stronger lock. I put little fingernail decals on the lock to make it pretty. She is thrilled with it again. Uses it everyday for her secret entrees. She is 10 years old. The book itself is made well, disappointed with the weak lock but over all it's a good book.

Lock is Poorly Made . The lock on this diary won't open for us. We are so disappointed with the quality. My 8 year old daughter has been waiting for it to arrive and it is beautiful, but she is so upset she can't use it.

perfect . This journal is perfect for 4 years to 18 years of age. Beautifully bound, well made, great size for writing your most intimate thoughts or drawing pictures from your imagination.

Beautiful and Creative . This diary and box are both beautiful when they arrive. But all kinds of things are supplied so the owner can decorate and personalize them. The lock is cheap, but generally is on any kids diary. Even though it is called a mini diary, the diary is about average size.

Adorable! . Just got this last night for my 7-year-old daughter. It's adorable. Plenty of accessories -- she was mesmerized. Perfect for this age group.

great for little girls! . Bought this for my 8 year old niece...she is a perfect age for this gift. I read some reviews that it was really small but I found it to be an appropriate size for a little girl - definitely not too small. Good toy . My daughter loves this stationary set. It was a birthday present and it's very pretty! The lock did break on the diary but I never have very high expectations for these types of toys to last very long. Great Value . i purchased two of these for my nieces and they both loved it. It is decent for the price. It like a jewelry box and a diary so they loved it. Messy glitter warning and make sure they don't use the glitter glue as chapstick haha.....
