Great Little Plant . This is a great little plant to take care of and looks pretty cool. I was a little skeptical at first, but the plant did almost exactly as the directions said it would. The box has the directions printed on the inside wall, which was not great, but what did I need the box for right? The contents were a transparent plastic bowl to hold the plant, a small bag of a bout three lava rocks, and the plant (in a bag as well). The directions were simple enough, rinse off everything (the bowl, rocks, and plant) and place the plant in the center of the bowl using the lava rocks as a support/decor.
In a few hours the plant came back to life with the outer leaves more a brown and the inner leaves a healthy sage green. I don't expect it to look like the cover picture on the box, but for a novelty item, this was definitely worth the $8.95 i paid for it.
If you let the plant dry for a couple hours and change the water once in a while, you can avoid things like mold and the "smell" that other reviews said that the plant had after a few days. Neat little plant and a wonderful way to teach and learn about plant vascular systems and the importance of water.
I would definitely recommend this product to a friend and would purchase another one, too.

Cons Review
A sad little plant . The 2 plants that I bought are smaller than I expected. They opened up quickly but do not seem to be happy. They are partly green partly brown . After three weeks, some of the plant has yet to turn green from the dried brown/gray that they come as. Overall a disappointment.
exactly what it sounds like . You add water, it opens, it kind of seems to be alive, you get rid of the water it closes again. Smells terrible. The novelty wears off quickly.
Ok item . It's been in water for a couple days but it has yet to turn all green...it's a little green in the middle but everything else is all brown.
Good idea for a couple of days . So i got this for fun to bring up to college. I thought it would be neat to have and not the average living plant or animal that a student would have in the dorm room. It was great for about 3 days when on the 4 day it started to grow mold. Little white fluffs of mold started to appear on the green outstretched leaves or w/e they were of the plant. I threw it away immediately. Don't buy this, it will only last a week or less as it did for me.
Interesting resurrection plant . This is a very interesting plant. My grandmother had one when I was a little girl. She would fascinate me with it when I would come to visit. It was magic to me. Demonstrates the importance of water to plants.
Totally worked! . I gave this as a gift to my mother after her father passed. She had been wanting one forever. After she received it she promptly opened it and put it in water ~ it regenerated/opened/came back to life within hours! It looks great although very small and flat. It's not bushy like the picture as of yet, the package comes with only 4 lava rocks and the bowl is pretty cheesy. However, overall it's pretty cool!
