Great deal and arrived quickly . Hello,

I have been wanting to buy a Gemstone globe for over three years. I first saw one in a local touristy store that was discounted 40%. Even after the discount the globe was $175. I discovered this online and am thrilled. It was much less expensive and is actually larger than the one I saw locally. The globe arrived in 2 days (even though I did not pay expedited shipping). It was very well packed and was in great shape. If you are looking for a nice desk accessory, I highly recommend it.

Low quality...looks and feels like plastic . I was very unhappy with the globe. It does not look or feel like gemstones or pearl. Rather, it looks and feels like plastic. Obviously cheaply made and very low quality.

Beautiful but not Gemstone . The globe is beautiful and from a distance it looks like Gemstone but it is plastic. A plastic ball filled with styro foam it looks like. Still a beautiful globe, but not Gemstone. It is "Gemstone-like" or something. The stand is very nice. My kids abosolutely love it, but I would have preferred a real one. Next time a Kalyfano I guess.
Most irretating is that my home country is not even on it (The Netherlands)! I want a pretty globe in my living room to show people where I am from, but the globe doesn't serve that purpose.

Beware of size of globe! . While this globe is beautiful, the description is not very clear. I bought this for my step-dad who wanted a globe he could read. He asked for a 14-16" globe. This globe is 14" TOTAL - with the stand. It does say that actual globe size is only 10" - in small print at the bottom of the description. I called to try to return this, but they were going to charge not only shipping but a large re-stocking fee that made it not worth it.
It was my fault for not reading more closely, but all other globes list the actual globe size in the title. The globe is gorgeous for decoration, but not functional at all.
