broken locks . I ordered this diary and the first time my niece opened it (as I was watching) the lock broke - it never closed again. This happened on both diaries I bought. Major disappointment. I love the idea of journals and diaries for kids - very beneficial in many ways. But this product is not durable at all.

This Diary is good to encourage children to do creative writing . This was a gift for my 10 year old niece. She loved the diary. I feel it's a fun way to help children express their self and learn creative writing.

It's not a diary . The way I read this, I thought it was more of a diary. Bought it for a 13 year old. She said that it is kind of boring and more for a younger person. But, younger granddaughter said it was too complicated for her. Don't know--maybe just the kids. It is just a journal. I was looking for an old fashioned diary. Don't they make them anymore?
