worid globe . very nice globe ,a little more than i wanted to spend but well worth it,it is just a great addition to the kids room,plus the most importent thing is ,they are learning about other parts of the world we live in,an educational item that kids have fun looking up other parts of the world,it is like fun homework in geography,beets playing all those computer games.

Great globe . Bought as a Christmas gift. It's just as advertised: attractive, easy to read, well made. Great for the home or office.

Fair quality for high price . My initial opinion is that i would expect more quality for the high price. The equator and where the two pieces of the globe meet, is covered with a red piece of tape making it look rather tacky. I think the latitude lines could meet up with each other better. If this were a $25 globe, i could understand, but it is more than twice that. The base that it is mounted on is nice looking. No user booklet to go with it like globes use to come with 20 years ago.

sierra globe . On the whole,globe is exactly as described and colors are lovely. Only criticism I have is that many of the boundaries(borders,rivers,etc.) are not adequately pronounced.

Another world . I requested a gift suggestion for two of my grandchildren ... a boy 7 and a girl 9. This globe was the one they chose. It is beautiful and well-constructed. They were very pleased to receive it.

Good but not perfect . This is my second purchase of this particular globe. The first I ordered new from another online retailer and it had a small white spot near the equator where some of the paper was missing. The second I ordered here from Amazon. It was better quality than the first, but the equator line tape was misaligned. There are also some wrinkles that I don't think should appear on a globe of this price.

Not too shabby . I was a little disappointed by the apparent quality of the globe for the price, but overall it was a satisfactory purchase.

Pretty globe . The globe is very pretty and we love having it around to look
up places. We are very happy with it.

Love my globe! . We have always wanted one - why did we wait so long? This is a great globe for the price. Good size, and the stand is attractive. If we had the space, a fancier stand might be nice, but this is a great package at this price(you can even remove the spindle for a tabletop display). The colorful look of the globe is very appealing, and I appreciate the raised texture for the mountains. it adds an extra level of appreciation for their size.

Great Globe! . Wow! Just received this globe and what a great globe for the price! It is attractive, sits at a perfect height to look at while sitting at a desk or chair, and easily moved from room to room. My 10-year-old is thrilled, and so am I. It is much better than the smaller 12" globes - more exciting, and easier to see for the aging eyes. Most highly recommended.
And purchased directly from Amazon so it got here FAST!

Commander ll 16 inch antique globe . Purchased as a Christmas gift for my husband. He collects maps and has in the past had to dig out our world Atlas book when he wished to view a particular country. The globe, he says, is his all time favorite gift. The only reason I did not rate as 5 stars is that both the top and the lower half of the globe the longitude lines do not line up properly. Perhaps the person responsible for pasting the map on the sphere was having a bad day. I felt it was a good value for the cost.

Great Globes . I purchased this globe for my step-daughter's birthday. She LOVED it! When my son saw it, he also wanted one. I ordered him the same globe for his birthday. They both travel frequently and enjoy tracking all the places they have been on this beautiful world globe.

Awsome for the money . Most globes are very expensive. Especially a relief globe. This is a 16' monster but very affordable. It is not quite as big as the Fuerher globe, (big as a volkswagen) but it fits in my library very nicely. The Stand is very substantial and the globe spins very nicely for browsing. And that is what I do. Sit there and stare at what is where. Now everytime there is a catasrophe in the world I will know were it is. Now I want to get a globe of Mars. Have fun.

world at your fingertips . I purchased this world globe for my husband for Christmas...it exceeded my expectations. He was delighted with this globe. Delivery was faster than anticipated. Setup was a breeze and it looks great in our living room. I would recommend this wholeheartedly.

Great gift! . I have just given this globe as a Christmas gift to someone and the recipient was very happy. It's classy and a pleasure to look at. Assembly was easy and the wooden foundation is very nice. All in all, a great, fun-looking, inexpensive globe!

Cons Review

Mine Was Junk . Sorry but I'm not getting the good reviews of this globe. Very shoddy construction. Maybe mine was a reject that somehow got sold when it wasn't supposed to. Either way, I'm very disapointed. The latitude lines at the seam don't even line up - they are about 1/4" off. Then the seal of whatever it is - scotch tape? - around the equator is coming up in places - to the point where I thought maybe it was just a piece of plastic on there to protect it. But nope. It's meant to be there - sort of. Too bad it's not. Where the stand screws in to the globe, mine was crooked or warped. Mine is going back. There has to be something better for this money.

Oh...and I forgot to mention that the parts were lying loose in the bottom of the box with a couple of them missing.

Floor Pedestal Mount Broke . When I tried to assemble the globe using the floor mount, the mount broke
and I could not attach the pole to the floor mount. I sent an email to
Repogle via Amazon but Repogle has not responded.

nice globe shoddy stand . The globe itself is nice, but the stand is unfortunately not well made at all. Ours never stood upright, and the listing only got worse with use. Can't recommend.
