Wish it was more durable . The photos are good. Melissa and Doug make good products, generally. I just wish this was like the old placemats that were made of foam and laminated with the image. This placemat is a paper product sent through the laminator.

great for the car! . We got this for a 6 year old. We had a 4 hour car ride and it made for great quizzes not only for her but for the adults in the car as well!
Wish It Was More Durable . I think having a placemat at the table is a great learning tool. Just think how many times a day and for how long your child will be looking at this placemat, sometimes 3 times a day for 10 minutes at a time. My son plays with his placemat when it isn't mealtime. I purchased the special crayons but I didn't know that you can also use pencils on it too.
The only problem I have with the placemat is that the pictures wear off. I was surprised though that it was as thick of a plastic as it was. I would buy this again.
